This paper reviewed the current of critic education in the Creative Writing Department and has suggested some ways to a better direction. Current critic education in Creative Writing Department has generally been operating as a secondary role for creative education and consists mainly reading and writing critic works. However, critical education have to transgress the 'literary criticism' education and literature, based on the concept of 'fictional'. Specific methods are as follows. First, the critical education should be actively utilizing 'critical education' and 'critical theory' rather than literary critical theory. The agenda of critical theory can expand their thinking through the stories related life. Second, the critical education must orient to Critical Essays rather than the professional Critical Essays. It is similar to essay more personal, liberal and informal. Third, critical education should include non-fiction essays and literary criticism as well. 'The biography, reportage, travel notes, pop culture essays, the art of living' are an example. In this regard, the creative writing department that combines 'digital content', it is not desirable. In order to maintain the identity of 'Munyechangjak', it is necessary to limit as a result at least as a character art. We have to rethink literary concepts that restricted in fictional and aesthetics. In addition, the name 'Creative Writing Department, also needs to be reconsidered. We must restore the concept of pre-modern' literature that meaning anti- information.

이 논문은 문예창작학과에서의 비평교육의 현재를 검토하고 더 나은 방 향을 위한 몇 가지 방안을 제시했다. 현재 문예창작학과에서의 비평교육은 대체로 창작교육을 위해 보조적인 역할로 운영되고 있으며 문학비평문을 위주로 한 실제 비평문 읽기와 쓰기 교육으로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 비평 적 안목이 본질적으로 창작과 관련되었다는 점에서 비평교육은 단순히 ‘문 학비평’ 교육에서뿐 아니라, 현재 교과목 구성에서 보이는 ‘허구성’에 기초 한 문학 개념에서도 벗어나야 한다. 구체적인 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비평교육은 문학비평이론보다는 ‘비평이론’을 적극적으로 활용한 ‘비 평적 교육’이 되어야 한다. 비평이론의 문제틀을 중심으로 삶과 직결되는 이야기를 통해 창작자의 사유의 폭을 넓힐 수 있다. 둘째, 비평교육은 전문적인 비평문 쓰기보다는 ‘비평적 에 세이’ 쓰기로 나아가야 한다. ‘비평적 에세이’는 정형성에서 벗어나 창작가가 자유롭게 자신의 생각을 적어나가 는 것이다. 이는 자신을 둘러싸고 있는 사회적 맥락을 주체적으로 구성하 여 인식하는 ‘구성적 읽기’와 밀접하게 관련이 있으며, 이를 통해 삶을 이 해하고 ‘주체’를 강화해나갈 수 있다. 셋째, 비평교육은 문학비평 뿐 아니라 다양한 에세이와 논픽션을 포함시켜야 한다. ‘평전, 자서전, 르포, 여행서, 대중문화 에세이, 처세술’ 등이 그 예이다. 이와 관련하여 문예창작학과가 ‘문예창작물’의 외연을 넓히기 위해 ‘디지털 콘텐츠’와 무분별하게 접목하는 것은 바람직하지 않다. 문창과의 정체성을 유지하기 위해서는 최소한 ‘문자 예술’로서의 결과물로 제한할 필요가 있다. 그런 의미에서 ‘허구성과 심미 성’에 제약된 현재적 문학개념에 대해 재고할 필요가 있다. 국내 대학의 교 과목 구성이 대체로 ‘시, 소설, 드라마/콘텐츠, 비평’으로 구분되어 있다면, 외국대학은 시, 소설, 논픽션의 분류가 많고 자서전, 평전, 르포, 대중문화 에세이에 많은 부분을 할애하고 있다. 이와 더불어 ‘문예창작학과’라는 분 과 이름 또한 ‘문학’ 개념과 함께 재고될 필요가 있다. ‘허구적이며 예술적 인 글’은 근대 이전의 ‘문학’이 품었던 ‘반(反) 정보로서의 글’이라는 큰 범 주를 회복해야 하며, 그런 의미에서 ‘문예창작’보다는 ‘창의적 글쓰기’에 가 까워져야 한다.
