This study is designed to examine the developmental trajectories of juvenile delinquency by time and also relationship between each of the developmental trajectories and sociopsychological variables. And to attain the goal, the researcher used the second and the third year’s data of the Korean Children and Juvenile Panel Survey. There were four types of developmental trajectories in juvenile delinquency: ‘the non-experienced group’ with no experience of damaging and being damaged for delinquency both in the second and the third year, ‘the escape group’ that had the experience of damaging and being damaged for delinquency in the second year but none in the third year, ‘the inflow group’ that had no experience of damaging and being damaged for delinquency in the second year but newly experienced delinquency in the third year, and ‘the maintenance group’ that had the experience of damaging and being damaged for delinquency both in the second and the third year. According to the analysis results, the non-experienced group formed 65.3% (1,442 persons), ‘the escape group’ 15.9% (351), ‘the inflow group’ 8.6% (190), and ‘the maintenance group’ 10.2% (225). Regarding the relationship between juvenile delinquency and socio-psychological factors, the delinquency maintenance group showed relatively higher socio-psychological fragility than the other groups. And more concretely, aggressiveness and depression, learning activities and school rules, and peer and teacher relationships were found to be the factors to predict the continuance of delinquency. The delinquency inflow group indicated more weakness in depression, learning activities, school rules, and community spirit than the non-experienced group, and its averages in aggressiveness and abuse were found to be significantly higher than those of the non-experienced group. The variable to anticipate the delinquency escape group was found to be learning activities, and its average was significantly higher than that of the maintenance group but was lower than that of the non-experienced group. Based on the above study results, the researcher suggests the urgency of interventions with the delinquency maintenance group and also necessity for restorative approaches targeting the group continuing damaging and being damaged for delinquency.

본 연구는 청소년 비행의 시간에 따른 변화유형을 살펴보고 각 변화유형과 심리사회적 변인과의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 설계되었다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널조사의 2차년도 자료와 3차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 청소년 비행의 변화유형은 2차년도와 3차년도 모두에서 비행의 가해 및 피해경험이 전혀 없는 ‘무경험집단’과 2차년도에 비행의 가해 및 피해를 경험하였으나 3차년도에서는 비행경험이 전혀 없는 ‘탈피집단’, 2차년도에서 비행의 가해 및 피해경험이 없었으나 3차년도에 비행경험을 새롭게 경험한 ‘유입집단’, 2차년도와 3차년도 모두 비행의 가해 및 피해경험을 지속하고 있는 ‘유지집단’ 등 네 가지이다. 분석결과 무경험집단은 65.3%(1,442명), ‘탈피집단’은 15.9%(351명), ‘유입집단’은 8.6%(190명), ‘유지집단’은 10.2%(225명)로 나타났다. 청소년 비행과 심리사회적 요인 간의 관계에서는 비행 유지집단의 경우 다른 집단에 비해 심리사회적 취약성이 상대적으로 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로는 공격성과 우울, 학습활동과 학교규칙, 교우와 교사관계 등은 비행의 지속성을 예측할 수 있는 요인으로 나타났다. 비행 유입집단은 우울, 학습활동, 학교규칙, 공동체의식에서 무경험집단에 비해 취약함을 보였으며, 공격성과 학대에서는 무경험집단보다 평균이 유의하게 더 높게 나타났다. 비행 탈피집단을 예측하는 변인은 학습활동으로 나타났으며 이는 유지집단에 비해 평균수준이 유의하게 높았으나 무경험집단에 비해서는 낮은 수준이었다. 이상의 연구결과에 따라 비행 유지집단에 대한 개입의 시급성과 함께 비행의 가해와 피해를 지속하는 집단에 대한 회복적 접근이 필요함을 제안하였다.
