You need to collect music instruments, phonograph records (SP), long time records (LP), tapes, video tapes, pamphlets, newspaper articles, books, documents, costumes, photos, and more as a traditional music art materials. The most skilled professionals shoulds do the things like registering, making lists, and conducting database as a disposition that is blowing life into materials. The researched facts and important informations are needed to be recorded meticulously on the collected materials themselves, and these facts are made as the contents of the possessor’s computer, and, as the final goal the contents of one’s computer are needed to be saved as the data of the collector’s homepage web site. Further more it is recommended that fully finished lists are made as a reference book and DVD media. In Korea, there is lack of awareness of the importance of records and arts the facilities for these are relatively very insufficient compare to the library. Especially the expansion of museum for traditional art that is rarely existing is more urgent. I think it is good if sharing information and linking between agencies such as national, public, private museums is possible after they finished making copies and DB systems their owns. For this the good relationship should be already established between these agencies. First step, collectors, agencies or individuals, freely make lists and DB’s in their familiar ways. Second step, the system that can search on these DB’s should be made. Above all conscience and enthusiasm is needed for making these DB’s and it is important to maintain continuous supplement of these DB’s.

수집의 필요성이 있는 전통예술 자료로는 악기 등의 도구 소품, 유성기음반(SP), 장시 간음반(LP), 테입 등의 녹음자료를 비롯해서 동영상 비디오테입, 공연 안내 인쇄물, 신문 기사, 서적, 문서, 의상, 사진 등을 꼽을 수 있다. 자료에 생명을 불어넣는 기록, 목록, 데이터베이스화 과정의 경우 가장 숙달된 전문가 가 맡아야 한다. 입수된 자료 자체에 꼼꼼하게 고증 내용과 여러 가지 중요한 사항을 기 록하여 적어 놓고 그 내용을 컴퓨터에 데이터베이스화 해가면서 입력하고 이것이 막바로 자체 자료관 내지 소장자의 인터넷 홈페이지에 저장되도록 하는 것이 좋다. 그리고 더 나아가서 완전히 완성된 목록집은 검색 가능한 서적과 DVD 매체로 편집 제작해 놓는 것 이 여러모로 좋다고 본다. 그리고 작업된 고증, 기록, 데이터베이스화, 검색 기능의 자료 사전 서적을 바탕으로 하여 원천자료의 복사본을 만들어 나가야 한다. 원천자료를 컴퓨터에 문자로, 녹음 및 영 상 파일 등으로 디지털화한 후에는 이를 총 집대성한 DVD 매체에 의한 멀티미디어를 구 축할 수가 있다. 한국은 도서관에 비해 상대적으로 음반, 예술에 대한 중요성 인식이 미비하고 예술 자 료시설이 굉장히 미흡한 현실이다. 그 중에서도 특히 전승이 아주 위태로워진 전통예술 관계 자료관의 확충이 절실한 형편이다. 한국전통음악 국공립, 사립 자료관들의 자체 소장 자료가 관리가 잘 되고 DB 구축, 복사본 정리 등이 완료된 상태에서 자료관들 사이에 정보 공유와 연계가 된다면 좋을 것 이라 생각된다. 이를 위해서는 우선 정보 공유와 연계를 원하는 기관·소장자 사이의 관 계 정립이 필요하다. 1차적으로는 기관·소장자들이 보유한 국악자료들을 자유롭게 각기 익숙한 방법으로 목록 정리, 데이터베이스를 하고 이처럼 구축된 여러 목록, 다수의 DB를 통합 검색할 수 있는 시스템을 2차 단계로 만든다면 좋지 않을까 한다. 이런 데이터베이스 작업은 무엇보 다 양심과 열의가 있어야 하고 데이터베이스 결과물의 지속적인 보완, 유지 관리가 중요 하다.
