This study is about Heungchungmu(興淸舞) that express gisang heungchung as dance in Josen King Yeonsan 10th Dynasty(1504). For this study, we look into the origin of Heungchung based on the King Yeonsan's Journal, The True Record of the Joseon Dynasty. Also we analysis feature and theory of movement in priority about our traditional dance technique. The result of this report is as stated below. First, as for the method Mujin(the direction of movement), there are many forward, backward, and diagonal movements and turns. Second, when it comes to the feeling the of chi, Heunchungmu uses light, cheerful and quick movements matched with the medium speed Gutgeory rhythm and Hwimori(fast jajinmori) rhythm. Third, Sang(arm movement) is characterized by a curved arm movement and spinning, avoiding the straightening of the arm. Fourth, Ha(foot step) is expressed by repeatedly bending and straightening the knees with short steps. Therefore, we should recognize its modern value as well as its traditional value in Heungchungmu, one of the gyobang(gisaengs' house) dance. Futhermore, it must be studied and improved in accordance with the comtemporary trends, to pass down to the future generations, with its original form preserved.

본 연구는 조선조 연산군 10년(1504)에 기녀 흥청을 춤으로 표현한 흥청무(興淸舞)에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구를 위하여 역사서 조선왕조실록, 연산군일기를 바탕으로 흥청의 유래를 살펴보았고, 우리 전통춤이 가진 기법에 대 해 움직임의 특성과 원리를 중점적으로 연구 분석하였다. 이에 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 무진법(진행방향)의 특 징은 앞, 뒤의 움직임과 사선 방향 움직임, 그리고 돌기동작이 많았다. 둘째, 기감적 요소의 특징은 중간 빠른 굿 거리장단과 휘모리(빠른 자진모리)장단의 경쾌하고, 흥겨운 빠른 움직임이 사용되어졌다. 셋째, 상(팔 사위)의 특 징은 주로 곡선의 팔 동작과 회무를 요하며 직선은 피한다. 넷째, 하(발 디딤새)의 특징은 종종걸음으로 무릎을 구부리고 펴는 동작을 반복한다. 따라서 교방 춤의 한 부류로써 흥청무(興淸舞) 또한, 과거만의 가치가 아닌 현대 적 가치로 통용되며 더 나아가 미래적 가치로 전승하기 위하여 원형은 보존하되, 그 시대의 흐름에 맞추어 보완 ⋅연구되어야 할 것이다.
