- As the interest of stockholders in environment and the government’s environmental regulations have increased, the importance of environment management has been getting emphasized. However, academic research still has not shown the consistent relationship between environmental performance and economic performance of environmental investments. The main purpose of this paper is to propose a novel method for DEA-base eco-efficiency measurement and to investigate the relation between eco-efficiency and economic performances. Eco-efficiency is measurement that is weighted combination of multiple environment and economic performances used as multiple inputs and outputs. The economic and environmental performance indexes of 91 firm-year observations from 2010 to 2013 are collected for DEA analysis. As a result of the DEA analysis, the eco-efficiency of each firm is evaluated and the optimal combination of inputs and outputs to improve the environmental efficiency are suggested to the inefficient firms. The results of regression model also shows that there exists the significant positive relations between eco-efficiency and economic performances.

- 기업의 환경책임에 대한 이해관계자의 관심이 높아지고, 정부의 환경규제가 강화되면서 환경경영 의 전략적 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 그러나 환경경영의 중요성에도 불구하고, 국내 기업들의 환경에 대한 인식수준은 낙후된 편이며, 환경관련 연구들도 환경성과와 경제적 성과의 관련성에 대한 일관 된 결론을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 DEA 모형 기반의 에코효율성 성과 평가기법을 제안하고 에코효율성과 경제적 성 과의 연관성을 실증분석하였다. 국내 91개 기업-연도별 표본을 분석대상으로 DEA에서 산출된 에코 효율성을 이용하여 표본기업들의 기간별 에코효율성을 검토하였으며 비효율적 기업들의 에코효율성 개선대안을 제시하였다. 또한 회귀모형을 이용하여 에코효율성이 경제적 성과에 유의한 양(+)의 영 향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다.
