Diverse researches relevant to cooperative policing have beendeveloped these days. However, the scope of organization, which isbeing actually operated, is restricted, in light of a concept of cooperativepolicing. Especially, the academia of being directly related to the policeadministration field, namely, the cooperative policing between thepolice science-related academy and the police-related academicdepartment can be said to be primary level. Accordingly, the police organization demonstratively carried outthe police credit system together with 3 universities nationwide inthe first half of 2014 and is enforcing by expanding it into 6 universitiesnationwide in the second half. The necessity of cooperativepolicing is being sympathized. This study examined a concept and the theoretical backgroundon cooperative policing for a plan of vitalizing the police & academycooperative policing, and figures out the present condition ofthe cooperative security in the police such as the present status ofpolice administration academic department and special employmentand the present state and scheme of the police & academycooperative policing. Based on this, the aim is to suggest a planfor vitalizing the police & academy cooperative policing such asfirst, forming sympathy among institutions and reinforcing connectivecooperation, second, reorganizing curriculum related to practical affairs, third, supplementing and connecting special-employment system, and fourth, introducing EvaluativeAccreditation System of police science education

최근에 다양한 협력치안 관련 연구가 진행되어 오고 있기는 하지만, 협력치안의개념에 비추어 볼 때 실제 운영되는 단체의 범위는 제한되어 있다. 특히 경찰행정분야와 직접 관련이 있는 학계, 즉 경찰학 관련 학회와 경찰관련 학과 와의 협력치안은 아직 초보단계라 할 수 있다. 각 대학에서 전략적으로 설치한 경찰행정학과는 4년제 대학과 전문대학에 207개에 이르고 있다. 이들 대학과 경찰 행정학과가 경찰학점제를 통해 협력치안을 활성화할 수 있는 방안의 모색이 필요하다. 이에 경찰조직에서는 2014년 상반기에 전국 3개 대학과 경찰학점제를 시범실시하였고, 하반기에 전국 6개 대학에서 시행하고 있으며, 앞으로 더 많은 대학이 참여할수 있도록 확대할 계획이다. 경찰조직에서도 경찰학점제, 경·학 교 류 등 협력치안의필요성을 공감하고 있는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 경찰학점제를 통한 경·학 협력치안 활성화 방안을 위해 협력치안에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 경 찰학점제의 운영 현황에서는 경찰행정학과 및 특채 현황, 경찰학점에 운영 현황 및 계획, 경찰학점제 운영상의 문제 점 등을 살펴보며, 이를 바탕으로 첫째, 기관간 공감대 형성 및 연계 협력 강화, 둘째, 실무 관련교육과정 개편, 셋째 , 특별채용제도 보완 및 연계, 넷째, 경찰학교육 평가인증제 도입등 경찰학점제를 통한 경·학 협력치안 활성화 방안 을 제시하고자 한다.
