Currently, military crimes are big issues in respect of correction welfare. To commit the military's proper duty and reduce the number of the crimes, the crime prevention activities is needed to be advanced more. According to personality test, six new generation soldiers, who showed maladjustment in their military lives, were analyzed. Mostly, difficulty in communicating with senior soldiers, misunderstanding of senior soldiers' indication, anxiety, family issues, interpersonal relationship, and social skills deficit are several maladaptive factors. Six soldiers may repress their negative feelings or behavior violently. These feelings and behaviors can lead to military crimes. Results of this study are that performing art therapy helps the maladjusted soldiers to express their realistic needs and allow their self-openness. In other words, art therapy can be effective for expressing their current psychological status and showing behavioral changes while they are doing military service.

교정복지 관점에서 심각한 사회문제가 되고 있는 군범죄를 줄이고 군의 본연 한 임무를 달성하기 위해 보다 발전된 범죄예방활동의 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구 대상은 신인성검사 결과 부적응을 나타낸 신세대 병사들 7명이다. 연구 결과 군 부적응적 요인은 병사간과 선임과의 의사소통의 문제, 현실도피적 군입 대, 가정과여자친구 문제, 사회기술부족등으로 보여지고 또한, 자신의 불안감을 의논할 상대 부재 등으로 나타났다. 이들은 부정적 감정이 억압되어 내면에 쌓이 고 있거나 과격하게 표현되기도 한다. 군에서의 촉발점이 있다면 군 범죄로 이어 질 수 있는 위험성을 가지고 있다. 미술치료 프로그램을 통해 구체적인 자신의 욕구를 표현하고, 직접적인 자기개방과 현재의 심리상태를 표현하는등 적극적인 자기 표현의 행동변화를 보였으며 이것은 긍극적으로 군 범죄를 예방할 수 있다.
