The Humanitarian Ideal is the founding principle, ruling ideology, political belief, ideals of education and ethical ideology of Korea. It means that a community communicating well with each other, overflows with knowledge, compassion, idea, information, jobs, commodities, and so on, which result in symbiotic relationship. The spirit of Humanitarian Ideal is timely as the core concept of the creative economy, because it incorporates both economic growth and balanced income distribution according to each individual's contribution. It means that people as individuals or a community produce, add, and exchange goods and services, knowledge, and information, and through this exchange those commodities become more abundant and diffuse throughout the community, with the end goal of physical and emotional benefits to the community as a whole. In order to manifest the humanitarianism spirit as a spirit of development, ① the humanitarian ideal is to become a strategist and/or a specialist with a road map to human development and welfare. ➁ the humanitarianism ideal has to be strengthened by introducing the mechanism of market economy. ③ In this way, a humanitarian can stimulate each individual to contribute to society by encouraging him or her to display diversity in one or more of millions of areas. ➃ Because personal creativity springs from fierce competition and innovation, solid education and training should be provided continuously to place everybody on a level playing field. Therefore, it is necessary to change a curriculum in order to emphasize the formation of mental capital.

홍익인간이념은 대한민국의 건국이념·정치이념·교육이념·윤리이념으로 세상에 지식·인정·의사 (意思)·정보(情報)·일자리·물자 등이 물처럼 넘쳐흐르게 하는 것이고, 막힘이 없는 원활한 소통을 의미한다. 인간(人閒)은 사람 개개인뿐만 아니라 사람과 사람 사이(閒)의 공동체를 지칭하여 인류만이 아닌 천지인(天地人) 삼재(三才)의 조화를 기조로 한다. 인간에게 지식과 정보 및 재물을 불려서 넘쳐나 도록 풍요롭게 한다는 것은 경제성장과 부(富)의 축적에 기여한 각자의 몫에 따라 고르게 배분되는 상 생하는 공동체를 의미한다. 그러나 모두가 똑같이 나누는 평등을 의미하는 것이 아니라 살아있는 동안 잘 다스려 인도하라는 것으로서 보편적인 자유, 정의, 평화의 방향으로 동화시키는 것을 뜻한다. 홍익인간정신을 경제발전의 필수조건인 발전정신으로 발현시키기 위해서는 ① 홍익인간은 인류의 발 전과 복지에 헌신하는 로드맵이 있는 전략가이며 전문가가 되어야 함을 의미한다. ➁ 시장경제의 도덕 적 기초인 자연적 자유와 정의가 바로 서야 한다. ➂ 국민 각자의 다양성을 살려 그들만의 분야에서 각 자의 방법으로 사회에 공헌하도록 한다. ➃ 개개인의 창의성은 치열한 경쟁과 혁신 속에서 기회를 만들 어 내는 것이므로 정신과 지식 면에서 내실 있는 교육훈련을 지속적으로 시켜야 한다. 이를 위하여 정 신자본의 형성에 더 많은 비중을 두는 교과과정의 변화가 필요하다.
