This thesis aims at explicating the relationship between the typology of career decision status and the career preparation behaviors of the specialized high-school students. For this purpose, the characterization of the Incheon region specialized high school sophomore attending to 276 people were surveyed and analyzed. The type of career decision status results, the number of students who feel uneasy due to not-determining the career is the highest, undetermined-uneasy type and determined-easy type, determined-uneasy type, undetermined-easy type of order. The typology of career decision status with regard to sex(gender) is like the following. There is a significant difference between male-students and female-students: Male students show determined-easy, undetermined-uneasy, determined-uneasy, undetermined-easy in the numerical order, while female students show undetermined-uneasy, determined -uneasy, determined-easy, undetermined-easy. In the career preparation behaviors, the determined-easy type show the briskest activity of preparation, and the followings are determined-uneasy, undetermined- easy and undetermined-uneasy in order. In the career preparation behaviors, the activities for getting the jobs are most vigorless. Whole differences of the career preparation behaviors in sexes show that female-students are more active than male-students. In conclusion, the students of specialized high- school who did not determine the career feel uneasy emotionally, and this can affect the career preparation behaviors of them. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the program which could relieve the emotional difficulty related the career decisions of the specialized high-school students. These programs should diagnose the students according to the types mentioned above and lead to developing and arranging the programs for each type. And it is necessary for each school and professional sphere to carry out the field-centered vocational education.

본 연구는 특성화고등학교 학생들의 진로결정상태 유형과 진로준비행동의 관계를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 인천지역의 특성화고등학교에 재학 중인 2학년생 276명에게 설문조사를 실시하였다. 진로결정상태 유형을 분류한 결과, 진로를 미결정한 상태에서 정서적으로 불편을 느끼는 미결정-불편 유형이 가장 많이 나타났고, 결정-편안, 결정-불편, 미결정-편안 유형의 순으로 나타났다. 또한 성별에 따른 진로결정상태 유형은 남학생이 결정-편안, 미결정-불편, 결정-불편, 미결정-편안 유형의 순으로, 여학생은 미결정-불편, 결정-불편, 결정-편안, 미결정-편안의 순으로 나타나 성별에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 다음으로 진로결정상태 유형에 따른 진로준비행동의 차이를 분석한 결과 결정-편안 유형이 가장 활발한 진로준비행동을 하는 것으로 나타났으며 결정-불편, 미결정-편안, 미결정-불편 유형의 순으로 나타났다. 진로준비행동에서는 취업준비활동이 가장 많았고, 남학생보다 여학생이 더 활발한 진로준비행동을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 종합하면 특성화고 학생들 중 진로를 결정하지 못한 상태에서 정서적으로 불편함을 느끼고 있는 학생이 많으며 이러한 점이 진로준비행동에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 따라서 특성화고 학생들에게 진로결정과 관련된 정서적 어려움을 완화시키는 프로그램을 개발하여 운영할 필요성이 있으며, 유형에 따라 진로결정에 어려움을 겪고 있는 원인을 진단하여 현실적인 진로지도가 이루어지면서 특성화계열별 전문화된 현장중심의 직업교육이 이루어져야 함을 시사하고 있다.
