The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of optimism and Emotional Identification and Expression Ability on the Elementary school students’s Peer Relationship. The subjects of this study were 242 students who were in the fifth and sixth grade in elementary schools in Busan. The instrument used in this study were opticism, emotional identification and expression ability and peer relationship scale. and t-test, correlation, and regression analyses were employed. The results were as follows. a) There are significant differences in peer relationship between the male group and female group. b) There are significant positive correlations between optimism and peer relationship and significant negative correlations between emotional identification and expression ability and peer relationship. c) There are significant influence of optimism on elementary school students’s peer relationship. Based on these findings, conclusion and implications were discussed.

본 연구는 초등학교 고학년생의 낙관성과 정서인식 및 표현 부족이 또래관계에 미치는 영향 을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 부산광역시에 소재한 3개의 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생 242명을 대 상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 성차에 따라 초등학교 고학년생의 낙관성, 정서인식 및 표현 부족과 또래관 계간의 차이를 검증한 결과 또래관계에서만 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 낙관성과 또래관 계 간에는 정적상관이 나타났으며, 낙관성과 정서인식 및 표현 부족, 정서인식 및 표현 부족 과 또래관계 간에는 부적상관을 나타냈다. 셋째, 낙관성과 정서인식 및 표현 부족이 또래관 계에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과 낙관성만이 유의미하게 또래관계에 영향을 미치는 것으 로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과에 기초하여 논의 및 시사점이 제시되었다.
