This study has focused on building a framework to include critical factors for the sustainability of work integration social enterprises(WISE). The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors to affect to the sustainability of WISE in Korea. This study, therefore, reviewed literatures on this relevant field in order to collect circumstantial evidence to contribute to the sustainability of WISE. Among possible attributes, this study suggested four aspects, such as entrepreneurship, financial, echo-environmental, and structural one. In order to confirm the four factors to affect to the sustainability of WISE, interviewed eight social enterprisers. In order to investigate the relative importance and performance of those factors, open-ended questionnaire and self-reported data were collected, and IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) was analyzed from 41 executive members of social enterprises. The major finding of the study is as follows. Based on the results of this analysis, the following policy implications can be discussed. First, profitability and establishment of core process management system show relatively high importance and relatively low performance. Second, improvement of relationship with stakeholder which include government and customer, beneficiary, customer satisfaction and social entrepreneurship of founder or CEO are above the average. Third, these show relatively lower both in importance and in performance, and don't need any more inputs and rather than need current activities with limited endeavor that improvement of efficiency in internal process, reinforcement of employee's performance, recruit and maintenance of superior human resources and selection of business type after sufficient market research. Forth, they show relatively lower in importance while relatively higher performance achieved that expansion of job creation in social services, improvement of efficiency in execution of budget, establishment of participatory culture, career with capacity of CEO, good communication efforts of CEO with employees and collaborative relationship with relative organization through social networking. This result means the possibility to be overflowed with that factors, such that the current support needs to be minimized in order to be converted in a way to improve profitability and secure core business.

본 연구의 목적은 취약계층에게 일자리제공을 목적으로 하는 사회적기업을 노동통합사회적기업으로 규정하고, 지속가능성에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들은 어떤 것이 있으며, 주요 요인들이 어떤 중요도와 우선순위로 지속가능성에 영향을 미치는지, 또한 그 하부 요인들은 어떤 것들이 있는지 밝혀내는데 있다. 관련 문헌을 통하여 노동통합사회적기업과 지속가능성 개념을 정리하고 기업가 차원, 재무적 차원, 생태 환경적 차원 및 조직적 차원의 4가지 주요 영향 요인을 정리하였고 이 요인들을 중심으로 개방형 질문을 구성하였다. 전문가그룹 41명을 대상으로 전문가 인터뷰와 설문조사를 통하여 중요도 및 성취도 분석(IPA)을 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 기업가 요인은 중요도 측면에서 상대적으로 제일 높게 나타났으며, 성취도 측면에서도 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 재무적 요인은 중요도 측면에서는 세번째, 성취도 측면에서는 최하위로 나타났다. 재무적 요인 중 수익성 측면은 상대적으로 중요한 요인으로 받아들이고 있지만 실제 현장에서의 수준은 가장 취약한 부분으로 평가되고 있다. 조직적 요인은 중요도 측면에서는 두 번째이지만 성취도 측면에서는 재무적 요인과 함께 최하위를 기록하고 있다. 생태 환경적 요인은 주요도 측면에서 최하위를 기록하고 있지만 성취도 측면에서는 상대적으로 가장 높은 수준을 나타내고 있다.
