This study was examined with the question, 'what the Christian religion recognition that the elderly Korean who had been sent to Germany as dispatched workers had experienced were?' 10 participants were interviewed in-depth and then the data were analyzed using the grounded theory approach of Strauss and Cobin(1998). The analysis showed that main phenomenon('looking for church') was drawn through causal condition('came to Germany as a dispatched worker') and contextual condition('experienced all difficulties'). The conclusions('could not live without faith,' 'looked for different ways,' 'out of boundary') were formed through intervening condition('family crisis,' 'religious belief') and action/interaction strategy(' God as supporter.' 'continuously grew apart from church,' 'unsatisfied with church'). These experiences were embodied in core category, 'recognition of new changes that the Christian religion has to go forward.' Based on the analysis results, the measures for the elderly Korean in Germany from the viewpoint of church social work were recommended.

본 연구는 ‘파독 근로자 한인노인들이 살아오면서 겪게 된 기독교신앙의 경험 은 무엇인가?’라는 질문을 가지고 조사되었다. 연구는 10명의 참여자들을 심층 면접한 후 Strauss와 Cobin(1998)의 근거이론을 활용하여 분석하는 질적 연 구방법으로 수행하였다. 분석결과를 살펴보면 ‘독일에 근로자로 옴’이라는 인과 적 조건과 ‘온갖 어려움을 겪음’이라는 맥락적 조건에 의해 중심 현상인 ‘교회 를 찾음’에 이르게 된다. 이는 ‘가정의 위기들’이나 ‘신앙의 끈’이라는 중재적 조 건에 의해 ‘하나님이 빽’, ‘자꾸 멀어짐’, ‘마음에 들지 않음’ 등의 작용/상호작용 전략을 거쳐 ‘떠나서는 살 수 없음’, ‘다른 방법을 찾음’, ‘테두리 밖으로’ 등의 결과에 이르게 된다. 이러한 경험들은 「기독교신앙이 나가야 하는 새로운 변화 에 대한 인식」이라는 핵심 범주로 구체화되었다. 분석결과를 토대로 재독 한인 노인들을 위한 교회사회사업적 측면에서의 실천방안들을 제언하였다.
