This study focused on psychological characteristics that appear in paintings by diabetic children-adolescents, and comparison analysis was done with general children-adolescents as the comparison group. 12 children- adolescents with childhood diabetes who participated in the ‘Day of Children and Adolescents with Diabetes’ of Bundang Cha Hospital, and 12 children-adolescents in elementary-middle school in the Seoul-Gyeonggi region were chosen for this study, being 24 subjects in total. A task painting of a theme as was held to compare and analyze characteristics of paintings between the two groups. Also, the Slough happiness scale and behavior value evaluation scale were used for comparison. The statistics tool Window SPSS win 12.0K was used based on collected data and an independent sample t-test was enforced to compare the difference between the groups. The following are study results. First, the diabetic children-adolescents and general children-adolescents showed a significant difference in materials (sports event) that appeared in the task paintings based on exercise. Second, the diabetic children-adolescents and general children-adolescents had a significant difference in the reason why they favored the sports event shown in their paintings. Third, there was a difference in interaction depending on the number of people appearing in the paintings which were done by diabetic children-adolescents and general children-adolescents. Fourth, according to the level of happiness and the rate of time they felt happy which were assessed by the Slough happiness index scale, the happiness index was lower in diabetic children-adolescents than general children-adolescents.

본 연구는 소아당뇨 아동-청소년과 일반 아동-청소년의 그림에서 나타나는 심리적 특징들을 비교 분석하는데 초점 을 맞추었다. 이 연구를 위해 분당 차병원의 ‘소아청소년 당뇨인의 날’ 행사에 참가한 12명의 소아당뇨 아동-청소년과 12명의 서울, 경기 지역의 초등학교, 중학교에 재학중인 일반 아동-청소년 총 24명의 한정된 인원을 선정하였다. 연구 도구로는 <내가 좋아하는 운동>이라는 주제로 두 그룹 간의 그림에서 나타나는 특징을 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 슬라우 (Slough) 행복지수 척도와 행동가치 평가 척도를 사용하여 비교하였다. 통계도구 Window SPSS win 12.0K의 독립표본 t검정을 이용하여 소아당뇨 아동-청소년과 일반 아동-청소년의 차이를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 운동을 주제로 한 과제화에서 나타나는 소재(운동 종목)에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 소아당뇨 아동-청소 년이 일반 아동-청소년 간 운동종목의 선호이유에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 소아당뇨 아동-청소년과 일 반 아동-청소년 간의 그림에 나타난 표현 인원수에 따른 상호작용의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 슬라우 (Slough) 행복지수 척도의 행복수준과 행복하다고 느끼는 시간의 비율에서 소아당뇨 아동-청소년들이 일반 아동-청소 년에 비해 행복지수가 낮게 나타났다.
