- This paper deals with three subjects. First, it examines ethnic identity of the Korean-Japanese. This paper explores the changing characteristics of the Korean-Japanese. How has the identity of the Korean-Japanese changed from the first generation to the third generation? Second, it also develops the typology of the identities which the Korean-Japanese have. They are 'symbiotic', 'fatherland', 'individual', and 'naturalized' identities. This paper takes the formation and the characteristics of these identities into consideration. Third, it explored that how did the type of the identity of Korean-Japanese influence their unification view. It analysed by separating their unification view into opinions about an awareness of unification, an attitude of unification, a way of unification, a future of unification nation.
