This study examines the effects of governmental support policies for the technological innovation of the firms in the service industries on the basis of the characteristics of the firm, industries and the markets. On the basis of Korean Innovation Survey(2010) collected by STEPI, the study analysed 786 service firms that have adopted government support policies for technological innovation of the firms. According to the increase of the sales, the market orientated SMEs and the SMEs that have power in the markets have negative effects on technological innovation. In addition, the technological innovativeness of firms in creative service industries is 1.7 times larger than that in general service industries. Particularly, it is likely that the firms that have been interested in tax exemption have technological innovation. However, the firms that have been interested in government’s R&D support and funding have negative effects on technological innovation.

본 연구는 서비스산업 기술혁신에 정부지원이 정책효과를 실증분석하였다. 선행연구와 같이 기술혁신에 있어 서 기업특성과 산업 및 시장특성의 영향도 함께 분석하였다. 분석자료는 2010년 서비스산업 기술혁신조사(CIS) 중에서 정부의 기술혁신관련 지원을 활용하고 있는 786개 서비스기업 데이터이다. 평균매 출액 규모가 클수록, 시장집중도와 지배력이 낮은 중기업, 소기업이 기술혁신에 성공할 확률이 높았다. 또한 창조산업군에 속한 기업이 일반서비스산업보다 기술혁신 확률이 1.7배 높았다. 기술혁신에서 정부지원제도의 중요성은 조세감면제도가 중요하다고 인식하는 기업들이 기술혁신 확률이 높 았다. 그러나, 기술개발사업화를 위한 자금지원, 정부의 연구개발사업 참여가 중요하다고 인식한 기업들은 오 히려 기술혁신에 부(-)의 관계를 보였다. 향후 연구에서는 왜 이러한 차이를 갖게 되는가에 대한 심층연구가 필요할 것이다.
