It has being changed the attitudes toward the Otaku because of the growth of this market. I studied on the Otaku, when people had started to mention it and how it had been changed. Especially, I concentrated on studying the remarks from the professionals, Saito tamaki, Azuma hiroki, Honda toworu, Okada tosio.They’re of course famous for studying on this field,the culture of the Otaku. There are the definitions about it. Firstlly, Saito mentioned that the Otaku is the existence of the people who exuberate in the beauty boys with sexuality. Second, Azuma mentioned that the Otaku is the existence of the people who exuberate in the data bases in the process of the post-modern. Third, Honda mentioned that the Otaku is the existence of the people who exuberate in the fiction and willing to going out with them. Lastly, Okada mentioned that the Otaku is just only the existence of the people who just accept and tend to have passions about it. From four persons’ above-mentioned statement, it can be defined as “those who has a prejudice strong against a specific field, made-up world, etc., and can devote themselveses there thoroughly” with the present Otaku.

일본어

｢オタク｣市場の拡大で、｢オタク｣に対する態度や認識も一昔とは変わりつつあると言える。本稿 では日本大衆文化に おける｢オタク｣という言葉がいつ成立し、いかなる過程を経て現在に至っているのかを2000年代 を代表する4人の論 者、即ち斎藤環、東浩紀、本田透、岡田斗司夫の｢オタク論｣を分析対象として選定し、彼らの言 説を通じて現在の｢オ タク像｣を詳細に分析してみた。考察を通じて明らかになった各論者の｢オタク像｣を簡単にまとめ ると、下記のように なる。 一. 斎藤環における｢オタク｣とは、｢セクシュアリティを帯びている戦闘美少女に萌えることでリ アリティを生み出し ている存在｣である。 二. 東浩紀における｢オタク｣とは、｢物語がなくなったポストモダンの流れの中、データベース化さ れた萌え要素に萌 える存在｣である。 三. 本田透における｢オタク｣とは、｢恋愛資本主義システムから離脱し、虚構の世界に萌え、脳内 恋愛ができる存在｣で ある。 四. 岡田斗司夫における｢オタク｣とは、｢知性と情熱をなくし、ただ萌える対象を受容し消費する だけ存在｣である。 　上記の四人の言説から、現在の｢オタク｣とは｢特定の分野や虚構の世界などに強いこだわりを持 ち、そこにとことん 打ち込める人｣と定義できる。
