Digitalizing cultural contents of the CIS Koreans and Ethnic Korean in Northeast China is an utmost urgent tasks due to their fast population decrease and quick assimilation rate. Whether Korean communities are in the Northeast District (Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture) or scattered throughout a region (either in the cities or Korean ethnic enclaves in three provinces in Northeast China) they are an ethnic group within a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural society. Thus, collecting cultural resources of ethnic Korean communities abroad must be done collaboratively between the local researchers in various fields and scholars who examine ethnic Koreans in China. Moreover, schools, research institutions, and Chosunjok cultural centers, in conjunction, need to take the lead and there needs a platform that brings them together; the authors suggest that this platform ought to be E-cultural atlas. E-cultural atlas could function as a solution to further promote culture and tourism industry of Chosunjok in Northeast China in this era of culture and contents development. A sample of the E-culture atlas of the overseas Koreans in Yanbian the authors have produced suggest the need to construct digitalized resources of Korean culture formed by the diasporas dispersed all over the world as well as their distinctive and unique cultural characteristics of overseas Koreans through the convergence of technology and humanities so that Koreans all over the world could utilize such resources.

재외한인사회의 다른 어떤 지역보다 인구유출 및 문화동화 현상을 겪고 있는 CIS 고려인사회와 중국 동북 조선족사회의 역사문화자원에 대한 디지털콘텐츠화 작업은 시급히 시행되어야하는 실정이다. 동북의 조선족사회는 집거지구(연변조선족자치주)이든 산재지구(동북삼성의 조선족향촌과 도시)이든 기본적으로 다민족, 다문화 사회 속의 에스닉 집단이다. 따라서 조선족사회의 문화자원, 곧 1차적으로 다양한 콘텐츠의 수집은 조선족사회를 연구하는 연구자와 당지에서 활동하고 있는 다양한 분야 식자층의 공동노력이 필수적이다. 특별히 학교와 연구기관, 그리고 조선족문화관 등이 주체가 되고 또 이들을 하나로 뭉치게 할 수 있는 플랫폼이 필요하다. 바로 전자문화지도이다. 나아가 전자문화지도는 문화콘텐츠개발의 시대에 동북 조선족사회의 문화관광산업 발전에 유용한 방안이 될 수 있다. 저자들이 제작한 연변전자문화지도 샘플은 재외 한민족의 독특한 특수성과 한민족이라는 보편성을 가진 한민족 문화콘텐츠가 문화기술과 인문학의 융합을 통해 전 세계 코리안이 활용할 수 있도록 구축되어야 하는 과제를 우리에게 제시하고 있다.
