In accordance with the analysis results on the questionnaires, in the awareness of employees on a public health center, the answer "I can make every endeavor for the success of public health center organization" showed the highest score as 4.07±0.75. The awareness on the organization where a subject was included was higher than the average out of a 7 points. It showed the subjects were sincere to the missions and duties of the organizations where they were included. For the awareness on the work environment, the subjects who considered that their workplace was comfortable were higher than the average. The duties which the subjects recognized as the necessary duties among health businesses include health behavior improvement project, disease control project, customized visiting health care project, maternal and child health care, family health care and infectious disease control project. The duties which were considered as unnecessary among health care projects were general care functions, administrative businesses including issuance of certificates and various kinds of civil application processing. The projects which were considered to be reinforced or implemented in the future were health care project for the old, patients registration and care project including hypertension and diabetes and health promotion project in that order.

본 연구에서는 보건소 근무자들의 보건소에 관한 인식도, 보건소 조직에 관한 인식도, 업무환경에 관한 인식도, 보건사업에 관한 인식도를 조사하고 보건소의 기능 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 마련하는데 기초자료를 제공 하고자 시행하였다. 조사결과 직원들의 보건소에 대한 인식 설문 문항 중 ‘보건소 조직의 성공을 위하여 노력할 용의 가 있다’가 4.07±0.75로 가장 높게 나타났다. 보건소 조직에 대한 인식도에서는 자신이 속한 조직에 대한 인식도는 7점 만점 중 보통 이상으로 나타나 대부분의 대상자가 속한 조직의 임무와 업무에 충실하고 있으며, 업무환경에 대한 인식도는 자신이 일하는 곳이 편안한 장소라고 생각하는 경우가 보통 이상으로 나타났다. 보건사업 중 필요하다고 인식하는 업무는 건강행태개선사업, 방역사업, 맞춤형 방문건강관리사업, 모자보건, 가족보건, 전염병관리사업 등으 로 나타났으며, 보건사업 중 불필요하다고 인식하는 업무는 일반진료기능 업무, 증명서 발급 등 행정업무, 각종 민원 업무 등으로 나타났다. 향후 보강되거나 꼭 실시되어야 한다고 인식하는 노인보건사업, 고혈압, 당뇨 등 환자등록 관리사업, 건강증진사업 순으로 나타났다.
