The purpose of this study is to develop radio-controlled model Turtle Boat, which is also called 'Geobukseon' in Korean. The model boat was designed to move to all directions freely and to be used as a learning material, from which students could get interested in the technique and knowledge related to transportation and form a positive attitude toward hand craft activity. The results of this study are as follows: First, literature review was carried out to investigate the shape and structure ofthe real Geobukseon, of which modelsize was scaled down 1/100. Second, developing radio-controlled Geobukseon boat which modern technologies has been applied to and made evolved can contribute to the promotion of cultural heritages. From this dedication the treasure will no longer remain justin history: it will be clear that we will be aware of it not only in life but in education. Third, by producing and assembling the driving gear, radio-controlle devicesand body of Geobukseon model, students are expected to embody and understand its entire system. Furthermore, they will understand the concept of robot and remote-control devices.

본 연구에서는 중등학교 학생들이 수송기술에 대한 흥미, 지식, 기능 및 태도를 함양할 수 있도록 교수․학습 자료로서 방향 전환이 가능한 원격 무선조종 학습용 모형 거북선을 개발하였다.이 연구를 통하여 얻을 수 있는 주요 결론은 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거북선과 관련된 문헌을 근거로 하여, 실제 거북선의 형태와 구조를 분석한 결과 학습용 모형 거북선을 실제 치수의 1/100 크기로 축소하여 제작할 수 있었다. 둘째, 문화유산의 단순한 외형적 복원이 아닌 교육현장에 적용할 수 있는 학습용으로는 국내에서 처음으로 서보모터를 활용한 구동장치를 개발하여, 무선 원격 조종으로 전후․좌우 방향성과 제자리 선회 능력을 가진 모형 거북선을 개발하였다. 이는 기존의 단순 조립식 학습용 교구를 좀 더 다양하게 발전시킬 수 있는 계기가 될 것이다. 셋째, 선박 및 동력 전달의 원리 등 수송 기술 관련 내용을 모든 학생들이 널리 알고 있는 거북선에 접목시켜 중등학교 학생들이 기술교과 내용에 대한 학습동기 및 흥미를 유발 시킬 수 있는 학습용 모형 거북선을 개발하였다.
