The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of a career preparation group counseling program which was to improve career decision level and career preparation behavior of girl students in abandoned mine territory. The subjects of the study were consisted of experimental and control group by 10 students respectively in D high school, Kanwondo, Korea. 10 sessions of the career preparation group counseling program were carried to the experimental group for 60 minutes each. The result of this study were first, the career decision level scores of the experimental group were statistically more increased than that of the control group. It was proved that the program revealed great effects on improvement of the career decision level. Second, the experimental group was indicated to significantly enhanced in the scores for the career preparation behavior compared to the control group. These results proved that the career preparation group counseling program showed the positive effects on career decision level and career preparation behavior of high school girls in abandoned mine territory. This study should be enough considerations in the way that providing high school girls with appropriate group counseling program in abandoned mine territory.

본 연구의 목적은 진로준비 집단상담 프로그램이 폐광지역 전문계 여고생의 진로결정수준과 진로준비행동에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 강원도 폐광지역 D여자고등학교 전문계열 2학년 학생 20명을 무선표집하여 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 10명씩 배치한 후 5주에 걸쳐 총 10회기의 진로준비 집단상담 프로그램을 실시하였다. 진로결정수준의 변화를 측정하기 위한 검사도구로는 Harren(1979)이 개발하고 Buck과 Daniels(1985)가 수정 Career Preparation Group Counseling Program Career Decision Level Career Preparation Behavior Highschool Girls in Abandoned Mine Territory.
