The purpose of this study was to specifically check the reality of the operation budget for elementary school soccer team. For the purpose of this study, data were collected from Y Elementary School soccer team members through in-depth interviews, participant observation and documents. Data were analyzed by the methods of case record and inductive category analysis. Triangulation, member check, and peer debriefing established the trustworthiness of data. The result shows that the operation budget for elementary school soccer team is composed of funds from the school, the parents of the soccer players and other supporters. It is categorized as powerless school, difficult parents and thankful supporters. ‘The powerless school’ is composed of two sub-categories; the school accounting that prefers money from outside school to that from inside school and the school development fund which is actually from supporters even though it should come from school itself. ‘Difficult parents’ is composed of two sub-categories; monthly membership fee which every member should pay and special membership fee which is special but almost all members should pay. Thankful supporters are composed of sub-categories such as donated funds which are very supportive and donated goods which are very essential. It is suggested that the entities that are related to school sports teams should change their minds about their operation for the teams and the school and education authorities should play their roles positively to reduce the parents’ financial burden.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 축구부 운영 예산의 실제를 구체적으로 확인하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 위해 Y초등 학교 축구부 구성원을 연구 참여자로 하여 심층면담과 참여관찰 그리고 문서자료를 통해서 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 사례 기록과 귀납적 범주 분석 방법에 의해 분석되었다. 자료의 진실성을 높이기 위해서는 다각도 분석법, 구성원간 검토, 동료간 협의가 이루어졌다. 연구결과 Y초등학교 축구부 운영 예산의 원천은 ‘학교, 학부 모, 후원자’로 구분되었으며 ‘힘없는 학교, 힘든 학부모, 힘이 되는 후원자’라는 특징의 범주를 생성하였다.「힘없 는 학교」의 범주는 ‘학교회계: 학교 안의 돈 보다는 학교 밖의 돈, 학교발전기금회계: 형식은 학교지만 내용은 후원자’라는 특징의 하위범주를 통해 이루어졌고, 「힘든 학부모」의 범주는 ‘월 회비: 누구나 빠짐없이, 특별회비: 특별하지만 누구나’ 라는 특징의 하위범주로 구성이 되었다. 세 번째 「힘이 되는 후원자」의 범주는 ‘후원금: 물 심양면, 후원품: 실속 만점’ 이라는 특징의 하위범주를 통해 생성되었다. 연구결과에서의 시사점을 토대로 ‘학교운 동부 운영에 대한 주체들의 인식 전환’과 ‘정부와 학교, 교육당국의 적극적 역할 수행’을 통한 학교운동부 발전방 향을 제언하였다.
