This paper empirically estimated the job matching functions and analyzed the effects that the industrial production and the dishonored bill ratio had on the job matching in Daegu and Gyeongbuk labor markets. The following were the results of the empirical analyses: First, it showed that the increase in the industrial production had a positive effect on the job matching. Second, the dishonored bill ratio did not have a significant impact on the job matching. Third, the matching elasticities of the unemployed and of the vacancy came up significantly positive in Daegu and Gyeongbuk labor markets. Fourth, the job matching elasticities with respect to vacancy was larger than that with respect to the unemployed, and the firms’ efforts to hire were much more successful than that of the unemployed. Fifth, the matching functions revealed constant returns to scale in Daegu and decreasing returns to scale in Gyeongbuk province.

본 연구는 대구와 경북지역 노동시장을 대상으로 워크넷의 구인 구직 자료를 이용하여 일자리매칭함수를 추정하고 지역광공업생산과 어음부도가 일자리매칭에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실증분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대구와 경북지역에서 광공업생산증가가 일자리매칭에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 어음부도율은 대구와 경북지역에서 일자리매칭에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 셋째, 대구와 경북지역 노동시장에서 일자리매칭함수의 구직자와 빈 일자리의 탄력성이 유의하게 양(+)으로 나타나 일자리매칭함수가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대구와 경북지역에서 일자리매칭함수의 추정결과 기업의 구인탄력성이 실업자의 구직탄력성보다 크게 상회하여 구인기업의 채용이 구직자의 취업보다 훨씬 용이하게 이루어졌다. 다섯째, 대구에서는 규모에 대한 수확불변의 가설이 성립하였으나 경북지역에서는 수확체감으로 나타났다.
