A Study on the Social Consciousness of“Donghak-Peasant War” on the Madang Play-Focused on the aspects Equalization of the Democratization Movement-Cho, Hun-seongThe Basic of Madang play naissance and development was formed byfoudation Korean contemporary age. This year is 120th anniversary of theDonghak-Peasant War. The memorial events and variety cultural arts festivalis planned of various place. In addition, ‘Donghak’ related works in Koreatheatrical history are meant to be noted that some meaning. However, It is hard to find play’s study on theme or parts of play’s ofDonghak-Peasant War. In addition, the ‘ Donghak Drama’ for an overviewof the significant proportion of research work on Madang play inherent inthe work or for a deeper approach to social consciousness was not done. So look, ‘Donghak-Peasant War’ on Madang play is said to have a largeStatus and role. Madang play has strong sociocultural movement. so that isinterested in historical specificity and facing social issues in that area. Finallythat was accept and performance. Therefore, this thesis aimed in among those commonly found it(Madangply and social awareness), in the literary context. So it will be appear socialawareness ‘Donghak-Peasant War’ and will find out changing of thedemocratic consciousness in the 1980~1990’s.
