This study aims to demonstrate characteristics and implications which were found as the systematic design of instruction model applied to the development and application of the learning strategies for adaptation to college life of the international student education program. To do this, the program has been developed for international students in national universities located in the provinces based on needs analysis for foreign students, professors, assistants and faculties working for the foreign students. This project has been operated for 6 weeks with 5 modules including self-understanding, self-management, learning strategy, communication skill, and community and cultural activities and Korean student tutors also joined the program as well as international students. Experts on the learning method have joined and monitored every program and participating students kept records of what they did on the process to make the program better. As a result of the program development and implementation, we concluded as follows. At first, we confirmed the applicability of instructional systems development to improve the quality of the programme through the concreteness and systemicity of an academic strategy programme for international students. Secondly, by deriving a specific method and program development for each module, the process of both operators and lecturers to prepare their teaching became easier. Thirdly, as the learner centered programmes the students created together, all the participants could actively joined them. It was also very meaningful to the students. First of all, we need to run program not only international students but also korean students can participate in. Second, It is indicated that one-on-one consulting is required. Based on the research, I suggested 3 things to help foreign students adjust to university life. first, well organized program development and operations, second, the continuous consulting with students in the programme, Lastly, opening the subjects of the learning adaptation programme for international students for general education.

이 연구는 체제적 교수설계모형인 ISD 모형을 외국인 유학생 대학생활 적응을 위한 학습전략 프로그램 개발에 적용해 봄으로써 개발과정에서 나 타나는 실천적 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 지방거점 국 립대학에 재학 중인 유학생을 대상으로 개발하였다. 프로그램 개발을 위 해 유학생, 교수, 학과조교 및 유학생과 연계된 교직원을 대상으로 사전 요 구분석을 기반으로 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 자기이해, 자기관리, 학습전략, 의사소통기술, 지역문화 체험 등 5 모듈로 6주간 진행 되었고, 유학생뿐 아니라 한국 튜터 학생도 함께 프로그램에 참여하였다. 프로그램마다 학습법 전문가의 모니터링과 참여 학생들의 성찰일지에서 나온 요구사항을 프로그램 개선에 반영하였다. 프로그램 개발 및 실행 결 과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 유학생 학습전략 프로그램의 구 체성과 체계성을 보장하여 프로그램의 질을 높일 수 있는 교수체제 개발 의 적용 가능성을 확인했다. 둘째, 모듈별 프로그램 개발과 구체적 방법까 지 도출함으로써 교육담당 강사와 운영자들이 교육을 준비하는 과정이 수 월했다. 셋째 참여 학생이 함께 만들어가는 학습자 중심 교육 프로그램으 로 모두가 적극적으로 참여할 수 있었다. 프로그램에 참여한 학생들에게 도 의미 있었다. 첫째, 유학생들만의 교육참여가 아니라 한국인 학생들과 함께 참여하는 프로그램 운영이다. 둘째, 참여 학생 개별 컨설팅이 필수 사항으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 토대로 앞으로 유학생의 대학생활 적 응을 위해 첫째, 체계적 프로그램 개발과 운영, 둘째, 프로그램 참여 학생 들의 지속적인 컨설팅, 마지막으로 유학생 학습적응 프로그램을 교양교과 목으로 개발 및 운영할 필요가 있다고 제언하였다.
