This research looks into the problems of praise applied in worship of young and middle-aged people in modern Korean churches and tries to find practical method to combine worship of young and middle-aged people through assimilation of praise. The reason for praise in Korean churches to be limited to certain generations is because first, there are pastors who have no foundation for worship theology and ministers who have not enough musical abilities and spirituality. Second, there is difference in praise preference depending on generation as well as mismatch between traditional hymn and gospel choir. Third, praise is selected randomly regardless of meaning of lyrics. For the specific solutions for the combination of Sunday worship of young and middle-aged people first, pastor and specialized praise ministers who will be in charge of praise music shall re-establish worship theology and set a right worship leader. Second, prepare planned praise by operating worship planning team which is responsible for recovering community spirit of the worship. Third, around the lyrics of traditional hymn and gospel choir select praise that could be used in worship. Fourth, propose an example of worship steps which adopt the right praise. For this, full support from churches is required. Through assimilation of praise and combined worship of young and middle-aged people this will make seekers who first come to the church as well as young generations who have resistance towards traditional praise formation have more friendly feeling. From individual perspective, this will bring changes to them through spiritual maturity and furthermore, the disconnection between the prayers of different generations will disappear and turn them to the right prayer in front of God.

본 논문은 현대 한국 교회 청·장년 예배에서 사용되는 찬양의 문제점을 고찰하고, 찬양의 통전화를 통 한 청·장년 통합 예배에 대한 실천적 방안에 관한 연구이다. 한국 교회가 세대를 통합하는 예배가 되지 못한 원인은 첫째, 예배신학을 정립하지 못한 목회자와 음 악적 실력과 영성을 갖추지 못한 찬양 사역자에게 있다. 둘째, 세대 간에 예배 찬양에 대한 선호도의 차이와 전통 찬송가와 복음성가의 부조화에 있다. 셋째, 가사의 내용을 무시하고 찬양을 선곡하여 무 분별하게 사용하였기 때문이다. 주일 청·장년예배의 통합을 위한 구체적 방안은 첫째, 담임 목회자와 예배 음악을 총괄할 전문 찬양사 역자들이 예배신학을 재정립하고, 바른 예배인도자를 세우는 것이다. 둘째, 예배의 공동체성 회복을 위한 예배기획팀을 운영하여 기획된 예배를 준비하는 것이다. 셋째, 전통 찬송가와 복음성가를 가사 중심으로 예배에서 사용할 수 있게 찬양을 선곡하는 것이다. 넷째, 찬양통전화를 적용한 모범적인 예 배 순서를 모델로 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 교회의 전폭적인 지원이 요구 된다. 찬양통전화를 통한 청·장년 통합예배는 결과적으로는 기존의 전통적 예배 형식에 거부감을 느끼는 젊 은이들과 처음 교회를 찾는 구도자에게 친근감을 주게 될 것이며, 개인적으로는 영적 성숙을 통한 변 화와 더 나아가 세대 간에 단절된 예배자들을 하나님 앞에 바른 예배자로 세워 놓게 될 것이다.
