The purpose of this research is to explore the CTL(Center for Teaching and Learning) programs and managing strategies accepting the educational philosophy and vision and methods in order to develop faculty’s core competencies. For this, this study analyzed core competencies of Christian faculty and the faculty development inland and outland programs, and drew out the core value and strategies to enhance faculty competencies in Christian universities. This research proposed the expected result of the faculty development programs to enhance faculty competencies like the following. First, the new faculty can understand the integration of faith Christian worldview, and get the idea how to apply it into the course during the first step in CTL program. Secondly, as faculties fulfill faith integration between major and worldview, faith and academy, they can build high performance implementation in the course and research. Thirdly, as the faculty becomes tenure, they can help new faculty as mentors and support CTL programs as committee members of CTL.

본 연구는 기독교대학의 CTL(Center for Teaching and Learning)이 대학의 교육이념과 비전을 수용하고 기독교수의 핵심역량을 계발하기 위한 특성화된 프로그램의 개발과 운영전략 및 방안을 모색하기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 기독교수의 핵심역량과 국내외 기독대학교의 교수개발 프로그램을 비교 분석하여 기독교대학 교수역량 강화를 위한 모형의 핵심가치와 전략을 도출하였다. 이를 기초로 기독교 대학의 CTL에 적용하기 위하여 기독교수역량 강화를 위한 CTL특성화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 기독교수의 역량과교수개발 프로그램에 대한 기독교적 관점에 근거하여 대학에서의 교수역량 계발을 위해고안된 프로그램의 기대되는 효과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교수자들은 임용 후, 첫 단계인신임교원 대상 프로그램에 참여하여 신앙과 학문의 통합과 전공지식과 기독교 세계관의통합에 대한 이해와 수업에서의 적용을 위한 체계적인 도움을 제공받게 될 것이다. 둘째,교수자들이 임용된 후 2-3년간, 교수자 자신의 교육철학을 확립하고 전공지식의 발전과 신앙과의 통합을 위해 노력하는 이 기간 동안, 신앙과 학문, 그리고 전공과 세계관의 통합을추진하고 수업에 적용함으로써, 신앙과 학문이 통합된 수업의 실행과 연구 수행을 하도록도움을 제공하게 될 것이다. 셋째, 신임기와 정착기를 거쳐, 기독교수로서의 역량과 자질이 구비된 정년기의 교수자들은 신임교수들을 돕는 멘토의 역할과 CTL 프로그램을 지원하는 운영위원의 역할을 감당할 수 있게 될 것이다.
