In this study, we try to find out the reasons and solutions of Internet addiction relating to Internet addiction of multi-cultural family. While existing studies handled common causes of Internet addiction, this study focused on the reason of Internet addiction from social-cultural speciality in multi-cultural family. Therefore, it has a different signification from existing studies. To find out the reason of Internet addiction in multi-cultural family, we analyzed the literature study and important cases relating to this study. The results are as follows:We categorized the reason of Internet addiction in multi-cultural family in three types: personal addiction reason, social-family addiction reason and school and same age group addiction reason. First, as the personal addiction reason, cultural identity confusion, peer-group bullying, stress from discrimination and poor economic condition act as the reasons for Internet addiction. Second, as the social-family addiction reason, there are loss of communication due to language problem with family, weakened social ties with same age group and neighbor and discrimination and prejudice in social perception. Third, as the school and same age group addiction reason, maladjustment of school life because of discrimination from teacher and same age group is the reason of Internet addiction. Therefore, as the solution of Internet addiction in multi-cultural family, First, awake the children of multi- cultural family understand the seriousness of Internet addiction by doing community mentoring project to prevent the Internet addiction in multi-cultural family. Second, change of cultural values and change social attitudes against the children in multi-cultural family is also needed. Difference in language and appearance is the reason that can have discrimination and bullying from same age group of society. Therefore, for improving awareness, we have to use advertising and mass media as the place for communication. By doing this, it is needed to have positive ideas about multi-cultural society. Third, building a social safety net is needed to prevent the Internet addiction. It is needed for the multi-cultural children who have loss of social ties to be instilled self-identity by establishing ties with the average family. And community organization and local government is needed to cooperate to prevent the Internet addiction.

이 연구는 다문화가정 자녀의 인터넷 중독과 관련되어 인터넷 중독의 원인과 대응방안에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 기존연구에서 다루고 있는 인터넷 중독의 일반적인 원인에 비해 다문화가정 자녀가 가지고 있는 사회적·문화적 특수성으로 인해 오게 되는 인터넷 중독의 원인에 초점을 맞추고 연구를 하였기에 기존의 연구 와 비교하는데 있어 그 의의가 있다고 보여 진다. 따라서 다문화가정 자녀의 인터넷 중독의 원인을 알아보는 데 문헌연구와 더불어 연구와 관련되어진 중요사례들을 분석하였고 이에 이 연구의 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 다문화가정 자녀의 인터넷 중독의 원인은 첫째, 개인적 관련 중독 원인으로는 문화적 정체성의 혼란, 또래집 단의 따돌림과 차별로 인한 스트레스, 열악한 경제사정 등이 인터넷 중독의 원인으로 작용하였으며, 둘째, 사 회적·가정적 관련 중독원인으로는 가족과의 언어문제로 인한 의사소통의 부재, 주변 또래와 이웃과의 사회유 대관계약화, 사회적인 인식의 차별과 편견 그리고 마지막으로 학교 및 또래 관련 중독요인으로는 교사와 친구 의 차별로 인한 학교생활의 부적응 등이 인터넷 중독의 원인이 되었다. 따라서 다문화가정 자녀의 인터넷 중 독의 대응방안으로는 첫째, 다문화가정 자녀의 인터넷 중독을 예방하기 위한 지역사회의 멘토링 사업을 실시 하여 인터넷 중독에 대한 심각성을 일깨우는 한편, 다양한 프로그램을 개발하여 방과 후 아이들이 인터넷이나 게임 이외에 장기적으로 흥미를 가질 수 있게 하여 인터넷 중독을 예방해야 한다. 둘째, 다문화가정 자녀에 대 한 문화적 가치와 사회적인 인식의 변화이다. 이러한 인식개선을 위하여 그들과의 의사소통을 위한 장소로써 광고홍보와 메스미디어를 활용하고, 이를 통하여 긍정적인 시각으로써의 다문화에 대한 생각을 갖도록 해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 인터넷 중독방지를 위한 사회안전망의 구축이다. 사회적 유대관계가 약한 다문화가정 자녀 에게 일반 가정과의 연계를 통하여 인터넷 중독에 대한 통제의 역할과 긍정적인 자아정체감을 심어주고, 지역 민간단체와 지방정부의 유기적인 협조아래 보다 전문적인 인터넷 중독예방을 위한 역할이 이루어져야 한다.
