To know the current status of amphibian and reptile road-kill studies in South Korea and suggest the future related subjects which needed to study, we analyzed various domestic research reports, thesis, and scientific papers related with wildlife road-kills. Among total 70 documents found, 17 (24.3%) documents (9 reports, 2 thesis, 3 scientific papers, and 3 abstract papers) contained the data of amphibian and reptile road-kills. Among 17 docu- ments, only two studies analyzed the road-kill data in depth based on road-kill species and environmental factors at the road-kill sites. These results show that various further studies are necessary to understand and decrease amphibian and reptile road-kills in South Korea. In addition, we have suggested several subjects to pursue in the future studies including road-kill modeling, study of road-kill effects at the population level, performing plans for preventing road-kills, and putting more efforts for the education.

국내에서 발표된 야생동물 로드킬 관련 각종 연구 보고서, 학위논문, 학술지 논문을 분석하여 국내 양서·파충류 로드킬 연구현황 파악 및 추후 필요한 연구를 제안 하고자 하였다. 국내 로드킬 자료 70건의 분석결과, 약 24.3%인 17건(연구보고서 9건, 학위 논문 2건, 학술논문 3건, 학술발표집 자료 3건)이 양서·파충류 관련한 자료이었다. 양서·파충류 로드킬 관련 자료의 내용은 대부분이 로드킬 발생 현황자료 이었으며, 종별 로드킬 발생 분석이나 로드킬 발생 장소의 환경요소 분석 등 심층적으로 로드킬을 분석한 자료는 학술 논문 2건에 불과하였다. 이러한 결과는 양서·파충류 로드킬 관련 다양한 연구가 필요한 상황임을 보여준다. 결과에 추가하여, 앞으로 지향 하여야할 과제로 로드킬의 모델링 연구, 개체군 수준의 로드킬 영향 파악, 로드킬 방지책의 시행, 로드킬 방지를 위한 교육의 확대 등을 말미에 제안하였다.
