The purpose of this study was to reveal the relationship between early childhood teachers’ teaching flow and their happiness and the degree of professional development. We applied three rating scale tools to the subjects of this research, 309 early childhood teachers in Jeonra Buk province, in order to measure their teaching flow, happiness, and the degree of professional development. The results of this study were summarized as follows. First the level of teaching flow, happiness, and the degree of professional development was a little above the average. Second, the degree of teaching flow and happiness depended on the level of payment while the degree of professional development was influenced by teachers’ ages and experiences as well as their pay level. Third, we found statistically meaningful static correlation between early childhood teachers’ teaching flow and their happiness and the degree of professional development. These results indicate that high degree of teachers’ teaching flow enhances their happiness and the degree of professional development, and vice versa.

본 연구는 유아교사의 교수몰입도, 행복감, 전문성 발달수준의 전반적 양상과 변인에 따른 차이를 알아보고, 유아교사의 교수몰입도와 행복감 및 전문성 발달수준과의 관계는 어떠한지 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 전북지역 유아교사 309명을 대상으로 교수몰입도, 행복감, 전문성 발달수준을 측정하기 위한 평정척도를 활용하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 유아교사의 교수몰입도, 행복감, 전문성 발달수준은 중간이상의 약간 높은 정도 수준으로 나타났으며 둘째, 교수몰입도와 행복감은 연령과 급여수준에 따라서, 전문성 발달수준은 연령, 경력, 급여수준에 따라 의미 있는 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 유아교사의 교수몰입도와 행복감 및 전문성 발달수준간에는 유의미하게 높은 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아교사의 높은 교수몰입이 행복감과 전문성 발달수준을 높이고, 높은 수준의 행복감과 전문성 발달이 교수몰입을 높이게 됨을 의미한다.
