To respond to the recent trend of international trade featuring with regionalism, East-Asia Region is proactively under discussion about building economic community through FTA, rather than remained as the blind areas of regionalism. With the changes of global trade circumstances, trade network between countries is swiftly advanced. In this regard, export-oriented economic country of Korea needs to move sensitively toward these changes of global market. Fierce political and economic competition between G2(USA and China) in East-Asia region will become a driving force in determining the direction of trade order in Asia in the years to come. Moreover, the recent implementation of RCEP initiated by China and TPP initiated by USA as a part of FTA are expected to bring changes in trade network in East Asia. Under this circumstance, Korea where placed in the center of competition through FTA in East Asia in the both geographical and economical senses, are required to proactively participate in RECP and TPP in order to respond to changes and development of trade network in East Asia and as well as to improve competitiveness of the country.

지역주의로 대표되는 최근 국제무역의 경향에 따라. 동아시아 지역은 2000년 이후 지역주의 공백지역에서 벗어 나 FTA를 매개로 경제공동체 창설을 위한 논의가 진행되고 있다. 국제무역환경의 변화에 따라 국가간 무역네트 워크는 빠르게 고도화되고 있는데 수출주도적 경제구조를 가지고 있는 한국은 세계시장의 변화에 민감하다. 동아시아 지역에서는 G2(미국, 중국) 간의 정치적, 경제적 경쟁이 치열해지고 있으며 이는 향후 아시아 무역질 서의 향배를 결정할 수 있는 동인이 될 것이다. 최근 중국이 주도하고 있는 지역내 경제협정인 RCEP, 미국 주도 의 다자간 자유무역협정인 TPP가 추진됨으로 인해 동아시아 무역네트워크의 변화가 예상되고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 지정학적, 경제적으로 동아시아 FTA 경쟁의 중심에 위치하고 있는 한국이 동아시아 무역네트 워크의 변화와 발전에 적응하고 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 지역내 무역환경 변화를 주도하는 TPP와 더불어 동아시아 경제통합을 지향하는 RCEP에 적극적으로 참여하여야 할 것이다.
