The direction of the current international trade policy, international exports for the country's corporate support indirect way of supporting policies to improve trade and complementary insurance to be carried through. These trade insurance system to meet changing circumstances of the times to develop the use of the most active and can be called in the country of Japan. Japan's trade insurance features of the country's strategic operational support, expand the area of ​​trade insurance, detailing the reason for compensation, such as debt collection system be operated. Insurance information, and trade law reform and institutional maintenance and insurance of the contents of the re- established trade, such as SME support policy implementation are summarized. This paper presents the Japanese trade insurance system operational characteristics and content of recent reforms introduced, Korea Trade Insurance with respect to the latest report on the study appears in the papers and on the implications of the problem presented.

현재 국제무역정책의 방향은, 세계 각국이 자국의 기업에 대한 수출지원 정책을 간접적인 지원방법인 무역보 험제도의 개선과 보완을 통해 수행하고 있다. 이러한 무역보험제도를 시대의 상황변화에 맞도록 가장 활발하 게 발전시키며 이용하고 있는 국가가 일본이라 할 수 있다. 일본의 무역보험의 운영상 특징은 국가의 전략적 지원, 무역보험의 영역확대, 보상사유의 세부화, 채권회수제 도 운영 등이 있다. 그리고 무역보험제도의 개혁 내용은 법 제도적 정비와 무역보험의 내용의 재정립, 중소기 업 지원정책 실시 등으로 요약 된다. 본 논문에서는 일본의 무역보험제도의 운영상의 특징과 최근 개혁내용을 소개하고, 한국무역보험과 관련하여 최근에 연구된 논문과 보고서에 나타난 문제점에 관한 시사점을 제시하였다.
