This article is presented for the many of facts related to Park, Gwi-Heui by primary materials and local survey data on the whole. 1. Date of birth, hometown, family relationships Park, Gwi-Heui (1921~1993) was born between Jang, Byeong-Gwan (장병관) and Park, Geum-Yeong (박금영) at the Chilgok (칠곡) county in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Jang, Byeong-Gwan was an influential person at that region and Park, Geum-Yeong was a shaman. Park, Gwi-Heui was grown by Park, Geum-Yeong's persons that were her mother's ones. 2. Vary traditional performing arts learning Park, Gwi-Heui learned Pansori (판소리), Gayageum-Byeongchang (가야금병 창), folk song and traditional dance. Pansori teachers were Park, Gi-Hong (박기홍), Park, Dong-Sil (박동실), Yu, Seong-Jun (유성준), Park, Nok-Ju (박녹주) and so on. Gayageum-Byeongchang teachers were Kang, Tae-Hong (강태홍), Jeong, Nam-Heui (정남희), and O, Tae-Seok (오태석). 3. Traditional performance arts companies activities Park, Gwi-Heui acted at Daedong Gageuk Company (대동가극단) as a young girl Pansori singer in 1934. Afterward she was a member of Hanyang Changgeuk Company (한양창극단), Dongil Changgeuk Company (동일창극단), Women's Traditional Music Club (여성국악동호회) and National Changgeuk Company. And she made Korea Folk Music & Dance Company (한국민속가무예술단) (1961). 4. Performance, broadcasting, film activities Park, Gwi-Heui was active at many Changgeuk performances. Besides these, she was active at radio broadcastings and movies. She was a male protagonist at movie “Priness Seonhwa (선화공주)” (1957). 5. Disc recordings, National Intangible Asset activities, awards, elder activities Park, Gwi-Heui' disc remains from the 1950s. She was designated as a possessor of National Important Intangible Asset No. 23 Gayageum-Byeongchang in 1968, decorated a National Medal Dongbaek-jang (동백장) in 1973, and awarded Seoul Cultural Award in 1977. 6. Traditional arts education contribution, bringing up important disciples, new songs composition and notation, death Park, Gwi-Heui took the lead at establishment of Korean Traditional Music School. And She donated almost all her poessions for making new school building, when this school moved to Siheung-dong (시흥동) in Gyeonggi-do in 1992. This school evolved into the National Traditional Arts High School in 2008. She brought up many important disciples as players of Gayageum-Byeongchang as like Lee, Geum-Heui (이금희), Jo, Seong-Og (조성옥), An, Suk-Seon (안숙선) and Kang, Jeong-Suk (강정숙). She arranged or composed about 50 songs as like “Flower Song”, “Come pick mulberry (뽕 따러 가세)” and published Hyangsa (香史, 향사) Park, Gwi-Heui Gayageum-Byeongchang Songs Collection(1979) in the form of noted songs. She died of a chronic disease July 14th 1993. Besides these, there are Park, Gwi-Heui's biography materials, involved persons' testimonies, music discs list, photographs, etc. are presented too in this article.

이 글은 박귀희와 관련되는 여러 사실들을 1차 자료나 현지 조사 자료들을 중심으로 제시한다. 1. 생년월일, 고향, 가족 관계 박귀희(1921~1993)는 경북 칠곡군 가산면 하판동에서 그 지역 유지인 장병관과 무녀 박금영 사이에서 태어나 어머니쪽 사람들에 의해 성장했다. 2. 다양한 국악 학습 박귀희는 판소리, 가야금병창, 민요, 전통춤 등을 두루 배웠는데, 판소리 선생은 박기 홍, 박동실, 유성준, 박녹주 등이었고, 가야금병창 선생은 강태홍, 정남희, 오태석이었다. 3. 국악 단체 활동 박귀희는 1934년 대동가극단을 시작으로 한양창극단, 동일창극단, 여성국악동호회, 국 립창극단 등에서 활동했고, 한국민속가무예술단(1961)을 만들기도 했다. 4. 공연·방송·영화 활동 박귀희는 창극 공연 외 방송 출연도 많이 했고, 영화 <선화공주>(1957)에는 주연으로 참가했다. 5. 음반 취입, 중요 무형문화재 활동, 각종 수상, 국악계 원로 활동 박귀희의 음반 자료는 현재 1950년대 취입한 것부터 남아 있다. 그녀는 1968년 국가중요 무형문화재 제23호 가야금병창 보유자로 지정되었으며, 1973 년 국민훈장 동백장, 1977년에 서울시문화상 등을 수상했다. 6. 국악 교육 공헌, 수제자 양성, 신작국악과 국악 악보화 작업, 별세 박귀희는 1960년 국악예술학교 설립을 주도했고, 1992년 이 학교가 경기도 시흥동으 로 옮겨질 때 거의 전 재산을 기증해 현재의 교사(校舍) 마련을 가능하게 했다. 이 학교는 2008년 국립전통예술고등학교로 발전했다. 이금희, 조성옥, 안숙선, 강정숙 등의 가야금병창 제자들을 길렀다. 구전심수의 국악을 악보화하여 <꽃타령>, <뽕 따러 가세> 등 50여 곡도 작·편곡했고, 󰡔향사 박귀희 가야 금병창곡집󰡕(1979)을 남겼다. 1993년 7월 14일 숙환으로 별세했다. 그 외 박귀희의 약력 자료, 관련자 증언자료, 음반자료 목록, 사진 자료 등도 현재 수 집된 형태로 그대로 제시했다.
