ㆍThis article, taking the new material, the manuscript version of Geumganggyeong Eonhae, examines its system and characteristic, and the reason or meaning of the method of Gwonsu Malje. Also, as a preliminary review, it takes a look at the conditions of the edition/ publication and versions of Geumganggyeong Eonhae published by Gangyeongdogam. The manuscript version Geumganggyeong Eonhae is a manual copy of the main texts of ‘Yukjohaeseo’, ‘Huseo’, and Geumganggyeong Eonhaeas well as Yukjo Haeui with the Ansim Copy, the second publication of Geumganggyeong Eonhae in the late 16th century as its finalized version. Different from the Korean version published by Gangyeongdogam, this book does not contain Gakjabyeongseo letters and ㅿ, reflects the actual sounds of Chinese characters at that time, and is characteristic as all instances of ‘-이’ are written as ‘ㅣ’. As such, the manuscript version Geumganggyeong Eonhae in Boseong Seonwon can be well evaluated for its values and significance in that it shows linguistic facts in the late 16th century and it is the first case that shows the distribution of manuscript version Buddhist bibles in Korean. On the other hand, from the clear mention of Seokbosangjeol and Worincheongangjigok in the manuscript version Geumganggyeong Eonhae, we can conjecture that it suggests parts or all of Geumganggyeong is put in Worinseokbo. That is to say, it can be said that the copier put Worinseokbo together with Geumganggyeong in as Gwonsuje and Wonmalje with the Ansim Copy as its finalized version in order to reveal that Geumganggyeong is also contained in Worinseokbo. However, given that the head title of Worinseokbo is ‘Woringchoengangjigok/ Seokbosangjeol’ and the frequency of ‘Worincheongangjigok’ is higher than ‘Seokbosangjeol’ in the manuscript version, we can conjecture that there was no copy of ‘Worincheongangjigok’ in which Geumganggyeong was chanted or the latter’s portion was very limited.

글은 신자료인 필사본 『금강경언해』를 대상으로, 그 체재 및 특징과, 卷首ㆍ末題 기재방식의 이유 내지 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한 예비적 고찰로, 간경도감본 『금강경언해』의 編刊 및 이본의 현황을 검토하였다. 지금까지의 논의 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 필사본『금강경언해』는 16세기 후반에 중간본인 안심사본을 대본으로 하여, ｢六祖解序｣ㆍ｢六祖口訣 後序｣와 『금강경』의 본문 및 六祖 解義의 언해문을 필사한 것이다. 이 책은 간경도감본『금강경언해』와 달리, 각자병서와 ‘ㅿ’이 보이지 않고, 당시의 현실 한자음으로 표기되어 있으며, ‘-이’가 모두 ‘ㅣ’으로 되어 있는 특징을 보인다. 이렇듯 보성선원 소장 필사본 『금강경언해』는, 16세기 후반의 언어 사실을 반영하고 있다는 점과 필사본 언해불경의 유통을 보여주는 첫 사례라는 점에서, 그 가치 및 의의가 있다고 하겠다. 한편, 필사본 『금강경언해』의 ‘석보상절/ 월인천강지곡’ㆍ‘석보상절’ 명기는, 『금강경』의 일부 내지 전체가 현재 전하지 않는『월인석보』에 수록되어 있음을 의미하는 것으로 추정된다. 곧 이 책의 필사자 는 안심사본을 저본으로 하면서도, 『금강경』이 『월인석보』에 수록되어 있음을 나타내기 위해, 권수제와 권말제에 ‘금강경’과 함께 『월인석보』의 권두서명을 기재한 것이라 할 수 있다. 그런데 『월인석보』의 권두서명이 ‘월인천강지곡/ 석보상절’이고, 필사본에 ‘월인천강지곡’보다 ‘석보상절’의 출현 빈도가 높다 는 점에서, 『금강경』을 노래한 ｢월인천강지곡｣이 없거나 그 비중이 매우 적었을 것으로 여겨진다. 그리고 ‘無住相布施’를 강조하고 있는 『금강경』과, 권20～23에 보시 관련 이야기가 집중되어 있는『월인석보』의 내용적 특징 및 권22ㆍ23ㆍ25의 일부 내용이 결락되어 전하고 있다는 사실을 고려하면, 『금강경』이 수 록되었을 가능성이 있는 권차는 권22ㆍ23ㆍ25 중의 하나일 것으로 추정할 수 있다. 이상 의 논의는『금강경』의 『월인석보』수록 여부의 진위와 상관없이 不傳『월인석보』에 대한 관심을 환기 시켰다는 점만으로도 그 의미가 있다고 할 것이다.
