This study analyzed the writing year of the Majinpyeon(麻疹篇) by Yu i-tae(劉 爾泰). Majinpyeon(麻疹篇) by Yu i-tae(劉爾泰) is the medical book about the measles, and it was first published by Park joo-heon in Jin-joo, Gyeongsangnam-do in 1931. These days some people assert that these two kind of names are the same person, or a diferent person. But they were found diferent persons. Yu i-tae(劉以泰) is doctor of the Reign of the King Soogjong, and Yu i-tae(劉爾 泰) is person of the Reign of the King Heonjong., They were taken the initiative in the treatement of the patient in Gyeongsangnam-do. Majinpyeon(麻疹篇) was written by Yu i-tae(劉爾泰) in 1846 years. As the result, these two people are most respectable person in San-cheong, Gyeongsangnam-do.

본 연구에서는 ｢麻疹篇｣의 저자인 劉爾泰가 세간에서 주장하는 숙종조의 劉以泰와 동일인인가 아닌가를 밝히고, 그 저술시기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 저자 劉爾泰와 숙종조 劉以泰는 동일인이 아니며, 또한 ｢麻疹篇｣의 저술시기 는 헌종 12년(1846)으로 보았다. 따라서 劉以泰와 劉爾泰는 모두 경상도에서 활동한 훌륭한 의원임이 확실하다. 다만 劉以泰는 숙종조의 의원이며, 劉爾泰는 ｢마진편｣, ｢실험단방｣, ｢인서문견록｣ 등의 저자로 순종과 헌종, 철종조에 활동한 인물로 보는 것이 타당하다고 판단된다.
