Only few documents of Sanwon, the public officials who executed financial and accounting related affairs, in other words, then mathematicians, are available. We can review their personal information, based on the list of peopl who passed Hojo examinations called Juhakipkyeogan, the profiles of each Sanwon called Juhakseonsaengan, the professional genealogy covering 8 generations called Juhakpalsebo, and a comprehensive genealogy called Seongwonnok. Hence, it is hoped that this study will contribute to modern utilization of historical records and transformation of knowledge and information into contents, while being used as a basic reference material for the study of mathematicians, middle class technicians, and mathematics. In this context, the following was worked on: 1) The publication of literature on mathematics and the characteristics and holding status of Juhakipkyeogan, Juhakseonsaengan, Juhakpalsebo, Seongwonnok were investigated. 2) The coverage of listing, the number of listed people, the composition of contents, etc. of Ipkyeogan and three kinds of Sunsaengan, which are primary information sources on mathematicians, were analyzed in a comparative way. 3) The descriptions of such details as names, family clans, family lines, year of appointment, and promotion at Seonsaengan possessed by Gyujanggak in Korea, the National Library of Korea, and the Library of Congress in the U.S. were analyzed and Juhakseonsaengan possessed by the Library of Congress in the U.S. was found to be the most systematic, extensive, and detailed.

국가의 경제를 담당하는 호조에 예속되어 각종 국가의 재정 및 회계 관련 업무를 수행 하였던 算員, 즉 당시의 수학자 관련 문헌은 전하는 것이 별로 없다. 다만 대표적으로 호조 의 취재에 합격한 입격자 명단인 ｢籌學入格案｣, 인사기록물 성격의 전문족보인 ｢籌學先 生案｣, 팔세보인 ｢籌學八世譜｣, 그리고 종합보인 ｢姓源錄｣ 등을 통하여 그들의 신상정보 를 살필 수 있다. 이에 본 연구가 이후 수학자, 중인 직위와 가계, 수학 관련 연구 등의 기초 자료로서 참고가 되고, 역사기록물의 현대적 활용과 지식정보 콘텐츠화에 일조가 되기를 기대하며, 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 1) 수학자 관련 문헌의 간행과 ｢籌學入格案｣, ｢籌學先生案｣, ｢籌學八世譜｣, ｢姓源錄｣ 에 대한 성격과 소장상황을 조사 고찰하였다. 2) 수학자에 대한 1차적인 정보원인 입격안과 3종의 선생안을 대상으로 수록범위, 수록인 수, 내용구성 등을 비교 분석하였으며, 입격안은 입격년도별 인물정보원이고 선생안은 단계별 승진기록을 상세히 다루고 있는 인사기록 성격의 인물정보원임을 밝혔다. 3) 국내 규장각과 국립중앙도서관 및 미국 의회도서관 소장의 선생안의 성명, 본관, 가 계, 입사년 및 승진사항의 내용기술에 대하여 분석하였으며, 미국 의회도서관의 ｢주학선생안｣이 가장 체계적이며 광범위하고 상세한 것으로 분석되었다.
