Biyebackyobang(備預百要方), one of the references of Euibanglyuchwi (醫方類 聚), is listed after Eouichwaryo(御醫撮要), a medical text of the Goryeo period. The origin of this book has long been mistaken for China. However, it was recently discovered that this book was a medical text from the Goryeo period largely cited for compiling Hyangyakjipseongbang(鄕藥集成方) and EuiBangLyuChi in the Joseon Period. This research investigates the Heaven-Human relationship and medical philosophy of Biyebackyobang, based on the general outline in chapter 3 of EuiBangLyuChi. Its theory on the Heaven-Human relationship is unique in that human mind is considered to take precedence of heaven and earth. While this theory is similar to the Heaven-Human Compliance theory in that it acknowledges many changes human can cause in nature, it also displays many unique features in specific contents. Moreover, a systematic connection with medical theories demonstrates some upgrade in the theory. This book contains mostly singular prescriptions and argues for the use of herbs easily available. We believe this could be the prototype of the idea of “Hyang-yak” which emphasizes the significance of singular prescriptions and local ingredients. In addition, this book is the first to mention the theory of five phases and six climates among the Korean traditional medical books currently available. It is also worth noticing that this theory, however, is different from that of Huangdi Neijing(黃帝內經).

｢비예백요방｣은 ｢의방유취｣의 인용제서 중 하나로 고려 의서인 ｢어의촬요｣ 다음으로 수록되어 있다. 이 책은 오랫동안 중국의서로 간주되어 왔으나 최근에 조선의 ｢향약집성 방｣과 ｢의방유취｣ 편찬에 있어서 주요 채록대상이 된 고려 의서임이 밝혀졌다. 본 논문은 ｢의방유취｣의 권3에 수록되어 있는 총론을 바탕으로 이 책의 천인관과 의학 관에 대해 연구하였다. 이 책에서 나타난 천인관은 사람의 마음을 천지보다 우선시하는 것이 특징으로 자연의 변화에 순응하는 것을 중시하는 기존의 의학관과 대비된다. 사람으 로 인해 자연이 변화한다는 부분에서 천인감응설과 유사한 부분이 있으나 구체적인 내용 에서는 차이가 많으며 의학이론과 유기적으로 결부시켜 한단계 발전시킨 모습을 보여주 고 있다. 이 책에서는 단미 위주의 처방을 수록하였고 주위에서 쉽게 구할 수 있는 약재를 쓸 것을 주장하고 있다. 이는 단방의 사용과 의토성을 강조한 향약의학의 원형으로 생각된다. 또 현재 내용을 살필 수 있는 우리 의서 중에서 최초로 운기이론을 언급하고 있으며 그 내용이 기존에 알려져 있던 ｢황제내경｣의 운기칠편과 구별되는 것도 주목할 만하다.
