This study examined the list of the successful applicants for Yeogkwa documented in Yeogkwa Yujib, the secondary source, and the list included in Yeogkwa Bangmok, the primary source for the applicants who passed Yeogkwa. Both lists were analyzed, based on the family names and family origins of those applicants, and the years of examination during the period of 1807 through 1888 and also compared with Yeogkwa Bo, another secondary source. The results are as follows: First, of total 33 family names, 32 names were included with the reappearance rate of 96.9%. Second, of total 94 family origins, 92 were included with the reappearance rate of 97.9 %. Third, in terms of the successful applicants by family names, of total 940 family names, 919 were reproduced with the reappearance rate of 97.7 %. Fourth, when the successful applicants were analyzed by years of examination, they were reproduced 100% until 1876 except 1849. Fifth, Yeogkwa Yujib showed some errors in recording the successful applicants. 12 applicants were incorrectly recorded with the error rate of 1.27%. Sixth, the overall rate of reappearance of the successful applicants in Yeogkwa Yujib is 97.7%, while Yeogkwa Bo shows 71.1% reappearance rate. The comparison of Yeogkwa Yujib with Yeogkwa Bo showed little relevance between them. Overall, it can be concluded that despite some omissions and errors, Yeogkwa Yujib which reclassified the successful applicants listed in Yeogkwa Bangmok by names and family origins is highly valuable as the secondary source of biographical information.

본 고찰은 역과입격자 관련 기록물로서 1차정보원인 역과방목과 2차정보원인 역과유 집을 대상으로, 역과유집의 역과방목 수록 역과입격자 재현에 대하여 고찰하였다. 1807년 에서부터 1888년을 범위로 또 다른 2차정보원인 역과보와의 비교를 통하여 성씨, 본관, 성씨별 역과입격자 및 시험년별 역과입격자로 구분하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 성씨는 전체 33개의 성씨 중 32개로 96.9%가 재현되었고, 3.0%가 누락되었다. 둘째, 본관은 전체 94개 의 본관 중 92개로 97.8%가 재현되었고, 2.23%가 누락되었다. 셋째, 성씨별 역과입격자는 전체 940명의 역과입격자 중 919명으로 97.7%가 재현되었고, 2.23%가 누락되었다. 넷째, 시험년별 역과입격자는 1849년을 제외하고 1876년까지 모두 100% 재현되었다. 다섯째, 역과유집은 역과입격자 재현에 일부 기록오류를 보였으며, 이는 12명으로 1.27%의 오류 율이다. 여섯째, 역과유집의 역과입격자 재현은 전체적으로 97.7%로서 대부분 재현되었 음을 발견하였다. 반면 역과보의 경우 전체적으로 71.1% 정도 재현되었으며, 비교 결과 역과유집과 역과보 두 2차정보원의 관계성은 미비한 것으로 판단된다. 종합적으로 일부 극소수의 누락과 오류가 있지만 역과방목의 역과입격자를 성씨별 및 본관별로 재구성한 역과유집의 인물정보원으로서의 가치는 매우 높음을 발견하였다.
