The aim of this article is to answer the following three questions about the Sonwon- kyebo-kiryak Sukjong's 39th Year Edition ; a) the historical background of its publication, b) the motives of publishing this book, and c) the changes from and additions to its previous edition, Sukjong's 28th Year Edition. In 1713, the 39th year of the reign of King Sukjong, a title of honour was offered to him in celebration of his reign of forty years. Following Nakchang-gun(洛昌君) and Hansan-boojeong(韓山副正)'s proposal for the publishing, Sonwonkyebo- kiryak Sukjong's 39th Year Edition got to be published under the supervision of Yeonin-gun(延礽君). Fourteen copies of a complete edition are left, twelve of which are currently held by Jangseogak and two by Kyujanggak. This edition was partially modified and extended from Sukjong's 28th Year Edition. Eocheop(御牒: records of the main Royal family genealogy) was modified and enlarged, but there was no change in Jasonlok(子孫錄: records of collateral descendants). Out of the total of 198 woodblocks, there was no change in 187, while eleven were either newly carved or modified as follows: 1) five were newly made, 2) four were modified, 3) one was partially modified and filled the blank, 4) one was recarved. Besides, three taken from its Sukjong's 7th Year Edition were included among those 187 woodblocks.

본고는 ｢璿源系譜紀略｣ 숙종39년본 간행의 역사적 배경과 그 동기를 파악하고, 숙종28 년본을 기본으로 얼마나 추가하고 수정한 판본인가를 밝힌 것이다. 숙종39년에 즉위 40주 년 기념으로 숙종에게 존호를 올리게 되었고, 洛昌君과 韓山副正의 상소를 계기로 延礽 君의 책임 하에 ｢璿源系譜紀略｣ 숙종39년본을 속간하게 된 것이다. 완질본이 장서각에 12 부, 규장각에 2 부, 도합 14 부가 있으며, 이본합질로는 장서각에 제1책이 6 건, 제2책이 5 건이 있다. 숙종28년본을 기본으로 숙종39년본은 자손록은 수정하지 않고 어첩만 수정 하였는데, 전체 198 면 중 187 면은 변화가 없다. 新板으로 찍은 것이 5 면, 改版이 4 면, 補空이 1면, 再刻板이 1면 등의 변화가 있었다. 그 외에 187 면 중에는 숙종7년본의 구판 3 면이 추가되어 있다.
