Exchanges and cooperations between Korea and Vietnam are expanding rapidly on the bases of similar history, culture and emotion between the two countries since the diplomatic normalization after Vietnam unification. Various exchanges and cooperations between two countries are continuing and growing including economic cooperation such as trade, investment, etc. More than 100 thousand people are living in the each other country. Now two countries are friendly called as relative country by marriage, it is really necessary to understand the other country's culture. The field such as economic cooperation and trade credit whatsoever it needs understanding other country's language and culture to support sustainable growth as social infrastructure. Vietnam study in Korea is popularly developing in quality and quantity as like Korean study in Vietnam is explosively increasing. However the education in both countries is very concentrated on the language and interpretation, the speciality and professionality in the economic and business field must be emphasized for the satisfying meet the expanding trend of economic cooperation and development.

베트남의 승전이후 한국과 베트남은 1992년 12월 22일 서로 아픈 역사를 뒤로 하고 수교한 이후 양국은 이후 역사적, 문화적, 정서적 동질성을 바탕으로 모든 부문에 걸쳐 눈부신 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 교역, 투자 등 경제협력의 확대는 물론이고 다양한 방면에서 교류와 협력이 확산되고 있다. 그리고 현재 한국과 베트남에는 각기 상대국 국민이 10만 명 넘게 체류하고 있다. 한국과 베트남은 사돈의 나라로서 결속을 다지기 위해서는 무엇보다도 문화의 이해가 절실하다. 경제협력이나 무역보험이나 어느 분야이든지 상대방의 언어와 문화를 이해하는 것이 지속적 관계증진을 뒷받침할 수 있는 인프라인 것이다. 한국에서의 베트남어의 교육은 양과 질에서 점점 확대되고 있으며 베트남에서도 한국학, 한국어의 열풍은 폭발적이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 양국에서의 교육은 대체로 통번역 중심의 교육이 주류이기 때문에 경상협력면에서의 전문성이 결여되고 수준은 미흡한 실정이다.
