The environment we live in is the place which we share each other through our participation and which our minds and emotions assimilate with nature. The importance of the urban environment is gradually becoming a very important issue in harmony between the area and the surrounding environment. Thus, this study look into the historical characteristics in cultural aspects and suggests the direction of an environmental color planning. This study is about the study of environmental color for the cityscape located in the city. Chipyeong-Dong located in the new city area in Gwangju has been selected as the destination which is around the middle of the a greenbelt zone , and a number of high buildings and public buildings. A number of schools and public institutions are gathered in this area and it has comfortable and quiet atmosphere. The distribution of the pixel can be examined with KSCA PROGRAM for the color of environment of the entire park averall, GY, G, BG were general colors and hue and saturation was showed as average 5~2level. After this study was examined for the distribution of the eight kinds of color. The relationship between the result and the historical name of urban landscape color was studied. It was difficult to find the arrange of colors in historical keyword and the relevance of distribution. Just accent color painted on the column located at the entrance of 5.18 memorial park. This study points out that color planning will last only if color planning in the harmony and puts emphasis on the identity of our area.

우리가 생활하는 환경은 시민 모두가 함께하는 장소로서 시민의 내적, 외적 정서가 고스란히 스며들게 되는 곳이다. 따라서 도시환경의 중요성은 점차 매우 중요한 화두가 되고 있는바 지역의 주변 환경과의 조화도 물 론 중요하지만 지역이 갖는 문화성 측면에서 역사성이 잘 나타나있는지 알아보고 환경색채계획의 앞으로 나 아갈 방향 제안을 하고, 도심 내에 위치한 도시경관을 위한 환경색채에 관한 연구이다. 대상지로 선정된 지역은 광주광역시내 신시가지 한가운데에 위치하여 도심 속 녹지가 조성되어 있고 고층건 물과 공공건물도 다수 있고, 서구 치평동 산 1번지에 위치해 있다. 주변은 다수의 학교와 공공기관이 포진해있 고, 편안하고 조용한 분위기를 가진 곳이다. 공원전체의 환경색채를 한국표준색 프로그램(KSCA)을 사용하여 픽셀의 분포도를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 전체적 으로 GY, G, BG가 대부분이었으며 명도와 채도는 평균적으로 5~2level을 나타냈다. 본 연구에서는 8가지 배 색분포를 살펴보고, 역사적인 이름이 갖는 경관색채이미지와 상관관계를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 역사적 키워 드(5.18)에 해당하는 배색은 찾기 어려웠고 분포의 연관성을 찾을 수 없었다. 단지 기념관 입구에 배치된 강조 색 한 곳만 살펴볼 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 일방적인 계획이 아닌 전체적인 조화 안에서 환경색채 계획에 좀 더 우리 지역의 독자성을 살리고자 하는데 중점을 두고자 하였다.
