『DongGukSanSuKi(東國山水記)』by Jung, Won-Rim(鄭元霖, 1731∼1800) is a kind of series of 53 Travels(山水遊記) volumes in the Joseon Dynasty which is nearly not known in the academic world. This paper is written for introducing these materials and examining the contents and the characteristics. 『DongGukSanSuKi』is copy of manuscript of 3 books, by Seo, Yoo-Gu(徐有榘, 1764～1845). He copied these for compiling 『SoHwaChongSeo(小華叢書)』a big series. He used his own paper with ‘JaYeonKungSilJang(自然經室蔵)' carved in the Pansim(版心) to copy his or others' work and 『DongGukSanSuKi』is one of these. The editor Jung, Won- Rim who is one of the authority in making map field from his grandfather to father. As we can see from Travels, lots of the contents are about Gangwondo(江原道) but it seems that he has been trying to say about places of natural beauty from all over the country. In Authors part, 13 pieces of writing of Hur, Mok(許穆) was put into them which is overwhelmingly a lot, and writings of popular people like Yi Hwang(李滉)․Yi Yi(李珥)․Kim, Jong-Jik(金宗直)․Kim, Chang-Hyup(金昌協)․Kim, Chang-Hup(金昌翕) was also in there. This paper, fist of all, inferred about the purpose of production that make 『DongGukSanSuKi』. This book seems to be a collection of sources to revise 『The new edition-Donggukyeojiseungram(新增東國輿地勝覽)』, not a just series of Travels(山水遊記). And, we search how it was edited and what are the references of this and then see about authors. And, we see each Travels in 『DongGukSanSuKi』, mainly with nearly unknown sources. In conclusion, we check the summary of this paper, and see the characteristic and value of 『DongGukSanSuKi』. Finally, it's attached the brief summary about whole contents in 『DongGukSanSuKi』.

정원림(鄭元霖, 1731∼1800)의 『동국산수기(東國山水記)』는 학계에 그 서명만이 알려져 있는 자료로서 조선조의 산수유기(山水遊記) 53편을 모아놓은 책이다. 하버드대 옌칭도서관에 소장되어 있으며, 유일본이다. 본고는 이 자료를 소개하고 분석하고자 하는 목적에서 작성되었다. 『동국산수기』는 3권 3책의 필사본으로, 서유구(徐有榘, 1764～1845)가 『소화총서(小華叢書)』라는 대규모의 총서를 편찬하기 위해 필사한 것이다. 서유구는 판심에 ‘자연경실장(自然經室蔵)’이라 새긴 자신의 전용원고지를 사용하여 본인이나 다른 사람의 저작을 필사하였는데, 『동국산수기』도 그러한 자료 중의 하나이다. 이 책의 편집자인 정원림은 조부와 부친의 대를 이어 지도 제작에 일가를 이룬 지리학 전문가이다. 수록된 산수유기를 보면 관동(關東) 지방에 대한 글이 가장 많지만, 전국토의 경승지에 대한 기록을 지역별로 고루 싣고자 한 듯하다. 작자를 보자면 허목(許穆)의 글이 13편이나 실려 있어 압도적으로 많으며, 김종직․남효온․이황․이이․김창협․김창흡 등의 유명 인물들이 다수 포함돼 있다. 본고는 먼저 『동국산수기󰡕의 제작 배경에 대해 추론하였는데, 이 책이 단순한 산수유기 총서가 아니라 『신증동국여지승람(新增東國輿地勝覽)』을 증수(增修)하고자 하는 목적에서 수집한 자료 모음집일 가능성이 높다고 보았다. 다음으로 『동국산수기』의 구성과 작자군(群)을 밝혔는데, 이 저서가 어떠한 편집 방식으로 구성되었으며, 어떠한 작자의 산수유기가 수록되어 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그 다음 장에서는『동국산수기』에 실려 있는 개별 산수유기를 잘 알려지지 않은 자료를 중심으로 일람하였다. 결론부에서는 본고의 논의를 정리하면서 『동국산수기』의 특성과 가치를 밝혔으며, 부록에서 『동국산수기』내에 실린 53편의 산수유기 전체를 간략하게 개관하였다.
