Impact of Resting Time Between Contractions During Repeated Maximum Voluntary Isometric Contraction in Quadriceps Femoris Muscle
This study was to investigate impact of resting time between contractions during repeated maximum voluntary isometric contraction in quadriceps femoris muscle. twenty healthy subjects were participated for this study. MVIC experiment was composed of five different resting time. And each experiment, all subjects were measured three times. resting time was 0 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes. One-way repeated ANOVA was used five experiments the mean value of the EMG analysis, and the intra correlation coefficients(ICCs) was used for reliability [ICCs=.961]. The results of the five experiments was not statistically significant (p>.05). But, the biggest mean value was when resting time of 3 minutes. Therefore, sufficient rest time to suggest a considerable element MVIC values for the maximum.
