- The purpose of this study was to explore the nurse image and job recognition of the male students in nursing. The research design was a descriptive study with a structured questionnaire. The participants included 172 male students in nursing by a convenience sample method and agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected from September, to October, 2012, and analysed using SPSS/PC Win 17.0 program. Male nurse image of the male nurse students in nursing is professional career, pressing. Job recognition about the male nurse of the male students in nursing is physical strength and male nurse students want to work in special part at hospital. In conclusion, it is need to level up the nursing professionalism of male nurse and nursing education system should concern about male nursing student's specificity.
