The purpose of this study is to construct the Assertive Behavior Scale for the Children and analyze reliability and validity. For this, 5th and 6th graders’ non-assertive situation and responses were collected. Based on the classified responses, items were made and surveyed to 5th and 6th graders and 45 preliminary items were picked. And factor analysis was performed to 4～6th graders in order to find out the factor structure of Assertive Behavior Scale and final items were selected. The Assertive Behavior Scale for the Children of 39 items in 3 factor construction is consisted by analyzing data results from the preliminary research and factor analysis. 15 items for aggressive aggression, 11 items for passive aggression, and 13 items for active aggression were constructed. it was determined that internal consistency, test-retest reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity were fine. Finally, the limits and further discussion of this study are suggested.

본 연구는 초등학생용 주장행동척도를 구성하고 그 신뢰도와 타당도를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 경상남도 소재 초등학교 5, 6학년을 대상으로 비주장행동 상황과 그러 한 상황에서 나타나는 대응행동을 조사하고 분류하여 문항을 작성한 후 5, 6학년 아동 115명 을 대상으로 예비검사를 실시하여 1차적으로 45개 문항을 선정하였고, 4～6학년 346명을 대 상으로 요인분석을 실시하여 최종문항을 선정하였다. 예비검사와 요인분석을 통해 공격적 주 장 15문항, 소극적 주장 11문항, 적극적 주장 13문항 등 총 39문항, 3요인으로 구성된 초등 학생용 주장행동척도를 개발하였다. 척도의 내적 합치도, 검사-재검사 신뢰도, 수렴 및 변 별 타당도는 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구방향을 논 의하였다.
