Green finance is a new research field in the world. When people enter into 21st century, due to global warming and environmental pollution, maintaining a clean and healthy life environment is becoming an important mission. China is a major developing country and the world’s first most populous nation. In order to promote the economy development and improve the standard of living, China exploits natural resources excessively, which may worsen the pollution. So, Chinese government put forward China must continuing to take the path of sustainable development and promoting a coordinated development of the economy, population, resources and the environment. This research shows development status duo and growth prospect of China green finance. Green fiance is an international trend in the financial industry. But green finance is sill remains in primary stage in China. National major banks have an important place in financial industry. But these banks emphasize short-run profit rather than long-run profitability. So, due to high risk, they are not willing to invest or loan in the green technology or green industry, though they have recognized the important of green finance. In the green finance field, small and medium banks have an important role and make contribution, especially for Industrial Bank. It is the first bank to join into the Equator Principles in China mainland. The government should use an effective policy to promote development of green finance field. The financial industry is not only concern of own profitability, but also should try to concern of social benefit. According to the growth stage of green finance, it will has a perfect future and potential market in China.

중국은 세계적으로 직면하고 있는 기후변화 위험과 금융위기에 대한 대응으로 녹색기술의 육성에 대한 주요국 간 경쟁이 치열하게 전개되고 있어 녹색성장을 새로운 경제발전 전략의 하나로 확정하였다. 중국은 급속한 공업화로 인해 환경오염에 심각한 문제가 발생하고 장기 적인 경제발전의 장애가 됨에 따라 녹색성장의 필요성과 시급성을 인식하게 되었다. 녹색 신기술에 대한 투자 분야가 매우 불확실성이 높고 위험을 수반하기 때문에 녹색금융 의 발전에는 한계가 있다. 중국에서 중소은행업만이 적극적인 녹색금융 상품 서비스를 출시 하고 대형은행들은 형식적으로 녹색금융 상품을 출시하고 있다. 중국정부는 녹색금융을 추진 하기 위해서 정부 부처별 협력을 강화해야 하고 각종 관련된 규칙, 정책을 개선해야 필요가 있다. 한국의 기업들은 중국의 녹색산업 진출을 모색할 수 있을 것이다. 중국 경제가 지속적으로 발전함과 동시에 중국인들이 환경에 대한 문제에도 관심을 가지고 있다. 향후 녹색경제가 주 도하는 경제성장이 중국의 지속적 경제발전의 원동력이 될 수 있다. 한국 기업은 에너지 절 약할 수 있는 기술을 개발하여 중국의 에너지 위기 극복 사업에 동참해야 할 것이다.
