The purpose of this study was to diagnose undergraduates’ employability of ‘A’ university in Chungbuk province and to analyze its relationship with individual variant factors such as academic year, major, sex, and GPA. For this purpose, 178 undergraduate students from ‘A’ university participated. The study tried to suggest appropriate career management policy of ‘A’ university with cluster analysis according to employability measurement. Findings are as follows: First, ‘A’ university students earned the lower score of employment readiness and its four sub-domains than that of nation-wide undergraduates. Second, ‘A’ university students showed a lower employability level overall compared to the norm by academic year except freshmen. It also showed lower level overall compared to the norm by major fields, and humanities-social sciences students earned higher scores than natural sciences-engineering students. Third, information exploration among four employment readiness sub-domains of juniors and seniors’ were significantly higher than that of freshmen. Fourth, humanities-social sciences students earned higher scores than natural sciences-engineering students as to information exploration. Fifth, male students earned a higher level than female students with statistical significance in the goal establishment and skills acquirement. Sixth, the higher GPA group (over 4.0/4.5) earned higher scores than the lower one, but it was not significant. Seventh, the results of cluster analysis revealed four different types and they represented ‘A’ university students’ employability profile. Based on these results, this study proposed practical implications on ‘A’ university students’ employment and career development.

이 연구의 목적은 대학생 고용가능성 진단 도구(김성남, 2009)를 활용해 충북 소재 A대학교 재학생의 고용가능성 수준을 진단하고 개인 변인(학년별-계열별-성별-학점 수준)과의 관계를 분석하는 데에 있다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 A대학교 재학생 총 178명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였으며, 나아가 고용가능성 수준 진단 영역에 따른 군집 분석을 실시하여 A대학교에 적합한 취업지원 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, A대학교의 경우 전국 대학생과 비교해 구직준비도의 네 개 하위 영역 모두에서 상대적으로 대학생 고용가능성 진단 점수가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학년 및 계열별 규준 점수와 A대학교 재학생의 수준을 비교한 결과 1학년을 제외한 나머지 학년에서 A대학교 재학생들이 비교 집단 대비 낮은 수준의 구직준비도를 보이고 있었다. 또한 계열별로는 비교 집단보다 전반적으로 낮은 수준을 보인 가운데, 비교 집단과 유사하게 인문사회계열 전공 학생들이 자연공학계열 전공 학생들보다 전반적으로 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 셋째, 개인 변인인 학년에 따라 구직준비도 가운데 구직정보 탐색에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 사후 분석 결과 1학년 집단보다 3학년 이상 집단의 구직정보 탐색 수준이 높았다. 넷째, 계열별로는 구직정보 탐색에서 인문사회계열에 속한 학생들이 자연공학계열 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 얻었다. 다섯째, 성별로는 구직목표 설정, 구직기술 습득에서 남학생이 여학생보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 얻었다. 여섯째, 학점이 높은(4.5만점에 4.0 이상) 학생들의 집단이 그렇지 않은 집단보다 높은 점수를 얻었지만 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 아니었다. 일곱째, K-평균 군집분석을 실시하여 네 개의 유형으로 구성된 A대학교 재학생 고용가능성 프로파일을 확인하였다. 상기와 같은 분석 결과에 기초하여 A대학교 재학생의 취업 및 경력개발 지원에 대한 함의를 제시하였다.
