The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy of health teachers and the degree of decision making participation, to examine how personal characteristic factors(teachers' age and teaching training experience) and school environmental factors(school types and school location) affect the health teacher efficacy and the degree of decision making participation, and to identify the relationships between the degree of decision making participation and the efficacy of health teachers. The subjects of this study were 118 female health teachers being served schools in Gyeonggi‐do. Independent variables were included: teachers' age, teaching training experience, school types(elementary, middle or high schools), and school location(metropolitan city or small/medium city). Dependent variables were included: health teacher efficacy and the degree of decision making participation. The perceived health teacher efficacy questionnaire(24 items) included four sub categories of efficacy; instruction efficacy, health-service efficacy, community-connection efficacy, and task-interpersonal efficacy. The self-report questionnaire of decision making participation degree(10 items) included two elements: democratic decision making and the contents of decision making participating. The results showed that school type factors had the influence on instruction efficacy and community-connection efficacy. Heath teachers of small/medium city schools showed higher instruction efficacy and community-connection efficacy than them of metropolitan city schools. Second, teaching training experience factor had the influence on degree of decision making participation and school location factors had the influence on degree of decision making participation. Elementary school teachers showed higher degree of decision making participation than middle and high school teachers. Lastly, the degree of decision making participation of school organizational climate had low-level positive co-relation with entire health teachers efficacy, community-connection efficacy, and task-interpersonal efficacy. For promoting the health teacher efficacy, it is needed to provide teacher training programs of four sub efficacy categories, and create the organization culture of democratic decision-making and mutual respect school climate.

본 연구는 보건교사의 효능감에 영향을 미치는 변인에 대한 연구로, 보건교사의 개인특성 중 연령과 직무연수경험 변인 그리고 근무학교 환경 중 학교급과 학교소재지 변인이 보건교사 효능감과 학교내 의사결정 참여 정도에 미치는 영향 정도를 살펴보고, 의사결정 참여 정도와 보건교사 효능감 간의 관련성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 지역 소재 초·중·고 학교에 재직 중인 보건교사 118명을 대상으로 보건교사 효능감 검사와 의사결정 참여 정도 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 연령이 높은 집단과 직무연수경험이 많은 집단이 보건서비스 효능감이 높게 나타났으며 중소도시 소재 학교에 근무하는 보건교사가 광역시 소재 학교보다 수업 효능감과 지역사회연계 효능감이 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 직무연수경험이 많은 집단이 의사결정 참여 정도가 높게 나타났으며 초등학교에 재직 중인 보건교사가 중학교, 고등학교 재직 교사보다 의사결정 참여 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 의사결정 참여 정도는 보건교사 전체 효능감, 지역사회연계 효능감, 업무·대인관계 효능감과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났고 보건교사 전체 효능감에 영향을 미쳤지만 상관 정도와 영향력이 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 보건교사의 효능감을 증진시키기 위한 방안으로 효능감이 낮게 나타난 직무영역인 수업, 지역사회연계, 업무·대인관계에 대한 직무연수 프로그램이 강화되고 수업 효능감을 높일 수 있는 교육정책이 필요하며 학교내 의사결정과정에 보건교사가 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 개방적이고 지원적인 학교조직풍토의 조성이 요구된다.
