A study on the phase letter of the stage name This study considered analysis how a kanji, a hiragana letter, katakana, a letter class used for the notation of the name of the entertainer such as the Romaji were related to the social attribute of the entertainer. Specifically, I classified Japanese entertainers various social attributes and I analyzed it and considered a letter class and the relations with various sociolinguistic factors used for the name how a Japanese letter class functioned as outcome, what kind of phase by the internal and external attribute of the entertainer. The consideration result is settled as follows. ① The letter class in the entertainment’s name and the sex of the entertainer have mutual linkage characteristics. It is thought that it is the result that expressed the gender characteristics that an entertainer has this and is going to express through phase that each letter was given. ② The letter class in the entertainment’s name and the age of the entertainer have mutual linkage characteristics. It may be said that this is a social background rotating for the christening of each time and the result that the phase difference between the letter influenced. ③ The letter class in the entertainment’s name and the fields of activity of the entertainer have mutual linkage characteristics. It may be said that this is the result that custom and the tradition in the applicable field, the activity stage and the characteristic of the medium influenced. ④ The letter class in the entertainment’s name and the debut time of the entertainer. It may be said that it is the result by a phase change of letter representation in itself at the same time as this is the result that a change of an image and the recognition for the entertainer was expressed by letter notation. It may be said that it became clear to function as an element that images such as “the heterogeneity”that“modernity”and“internationality”,otherletterswhich“tradition characteristics” and “the conservatism” that kanji notation has for the name notation of the entertainer conclusively, “friendship” and “the softness” that a hiragana letter has, “the freshness” that katakana has, a Romaji have have form the identity of the entertainer.
