The aim of this paper is to argue for the transformation of knowledge structure in the digital era. The pervasive profusion of information through Internet requires to reconsiderer the epistemic role of the University as a creative site of knowledge production. The authors propose a quite new concept, Critical plateau which is based upon a hypermedia based knowledge generation. It's another name is a tree of knowledge which is an interactive information procecessing and intepretation to share knowledge. 본 논문의 목적은 디지털시대의 지식구조의 변형을 변론하는 것이다. 인터넷에 넘쳐나는 정보는 지식생산의 창의적 현장으로서의 대학의 지식적 역할을 재고하기를 요구하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 하이퍼미디어에 근거한 지식세대에 기초를 두고 있는 크리티컬 플라토Critical plateau라는 전혀 새로운 개념을 제시하고 있다. 이 새로운 개념은 지식을 공유하기위한 상호작용적인 정보처리와 해석인 지식의 나무a tree of knowledge라고 말하기도 한다. 본 논문의 2부에서는 일본 NHK와 프랑스방송의 멀티미디어 파일보관시스템이라는 국제적인 상호협무에 대한 주개념 일부가 제시된다.
