This study searched for alternatives of transportation welfare in order to enhance the right of mobility for the elderly in rural areas through analyzing the situation of transportation availability and satisfaction. Among the elderly older than or equal to the age of 60 living in Chungchungnam-Do Geumsan-Gun, 125 seniors were chosen, and surveyed about the situation of how many times they went out and used means of transportation, and how much they were satisfied with them. The result of the analysis showed that the main reason to experience inconveniences when going out was inconvenient means of transportation. In addition, it showed statistically significant that the degree of inconveniences when going out effected on the frequency of going out. Based on the analysis results, alternatives to enhance the right of mobility for rural seniors from the transportation discriminational point of view were suggested.

본 연구는 농촌지역 노인들을 대상으로 교통이동수단 실태와 만족도를 파악함으로써 농촌노인들의 전반적인 이동권 증진을 위한 교통복지적 측면의 대안 모색을 목적으로 한다. 충남 금산군에 거주하는 60세 이상 노인 125명을 대상으로 교통수단 이용실태와 만족도 및 외출과 관련된 실태에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 외출시 불편을 초래하는 주요 원인이 대중교통수단 불편으로 나타났으며, 외출불편 정도는 농촌노인들의 외출빈도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 교통약자로서의 농촌노인들의 이동권 향상을 위한 방안을 제시하였다.
